Cricket 2005 is not very demanding game , even in my computer the demo runs quite reasonably. Jump from Geforece 2 Mx400 will huge. I suggest you get Geforce 6600GT which is better than 9800pro especially in new games. Geforce 6600GT is the best mainstream card available.

What is your Pc config and your budget for upgrade.

Here is link for 6800le which is 10 times fasters than Geforce 2 Mx400:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814122212&ATT=Video+Cards&CMP=OTC-pr1c3grabb3r

You also need to have descent computer and good PSU for that, but anyway you will huge boost in performence as well as IQ.

asus fx 5600, 128 mb would be ideal for the price you are looking at! but i would suggest go for a 256mb card. it will cost you about $50 more!

6600GT is by far the best value card available, but it's about $180-200US - for something cheap, a 9600 Pro will do the job OK, provided you don't want to run any other more demanding games. Under no circumstances should you pay any more for a 256MB card, it will make absolutely no difference for the kind of cards we're talking about here.

jump on ebay and you will be able to find one that is probably at least $60 cheaper than stores

thanks a lot for the help guys...so far iv narrowed it down to Nvidia 6600gt, ATI Radeon 9800, Ati Radeon 9600 and Nvidia Fx5200
now the only other request was if you guys have the demo, then it would really help me out if you guys could post a screenshot from each of your graphics card so that i can see the difference in them..
thanks

Guys, Nvidia released the new 7000 series cards which has improvements in 3D rendering. The Nvidia 7800 cards are sweet but expensive. If anyone is investing in Nvidia 6800 card spend a lil more and get Nvidia 7800 card.

razzreloaded, You should go with 6600GT, It this fastest among the cards you have mentioned and the image quality(iq) is clearly the best. Don't buy old generation cards.

Instead of 6600GT invest a few $$ more and get the next generation Nvidia 7800 graphics card. Although I think Nvidia 7800 cards are only available for PCI-Express slots.

I dunno how you can narrow down to Nvidia 6600gt and also FX5200?? 6600gt is $200+ and FX5200 you can get for $49 if you get a good deal. Don't invest in FX5200 it is almost obsolete now (ie. if you buying new card).

6600GT is great value, 9600 is well outdated and should only be considered if you really need to save some money
