What has Sami done in Test or ODI cricket to earn recall.

Traditionally, poor performances in international cricket warrent a drop. He got one.

Now, he has been doing well in domestic cricket and so he will be called. I have not heard of anyone being recalled to international cricket due to good performances in international cricket.

wasnt Rao the best bowler for pakistan in the home series against South Africa and now everyone thinks he is no good, he is a good ODI bowler and with Asif injured for now Rao is the next best thing pakistan have. If Sami keeps doing good in domestic cricket than maybe he should get a recall for pakistans next ODI series.

This is the problem in sub continent. We very easily forget the past performances. If a player does not perform well in 2 matches he should be dropped in third one. I think Rao is good steady bowler who complements the pace of Shoaib and Gul well.

On topic though, I've always liked Sami however I haven't seen much of him so I can't really comment too much.

Mohammed Sami has had his chances at international level and an average of 47 isn't good enough under anyones standards.

Pakistan have plenty of good bowlers to choose from and don't require the services of Sami.

Well i've never liked Rao since he joined National side.

he has had alot of problems with his bones and things like that, i guess they were alot weaker than in a naormal human and he would get hurt often, but man he was a good one. good pace, good swing and left with a average of 17 and strike rate of 30 somthing, too bad he got hurt and only played a handfull of tests.

and for usy,

even when he as performed well and been one of the better ODI bowlers for Pakistan over the last year. and lets face it Asif aint gona play that many ODIs with his injury problems. that leaves the Pakistan selectors with a few choices, Rao,Sami, a few out of form bowlers like Rana,razzaq or bring in the youngsters.
