I know the season has just finished but I was searching for a thread and, unbelievably, I couldn't find one.

This was the first real season I've watched properly for 5+ years and it was simply one of the greatest sporting seasons I have ever seen. The amount of action in every race is just enthralling and the skill of the drivers is just mind-blowing.

The last six rounds at Rockingham and Brands hatch were just phenomenal. The last race at Rockingham when Plato had Turkington sideways and then Herbert, Giovanardi and Turkington going through the chicane all at the same time. Simply the best piece of racing ever.

And then the final race. Neal backing up Turkington to let Giovanardi have a shot then Turkington making his move on Neal but damaging his car and having to fight of Giovanardi and Chilton to win the title. Not to mention Plato's 3 wins from the final 3 races to pip Giovanardi to 2nd.

There is just nothing like it. Very happy Turkington won it. He thoroughly deserved it. Now I can't wait 'till next season!

I'm a massive BTCC fan, love it, and now we have freeview in the flat I can watch next season. BTCC > F1, imo. At least they crash lots and its agressive driving, so exciting viewing :banana2

I used to really love BTCC, went to loads of events during the 90's. I do watch the odd event these days, but don't really follow it since most of the manufacturers pulled out ages ago.

Yeah, aren't Vauxhall pulling out next season as well? Seems to be lots of smaller teams entering though with some of the older names coming back as well, so hopefully it'll balance out

Yeah Vauxhall are out next season. Will be interesting to see where Neal, Jordan and Giovanardi go next season. Would be good to see Plato and Neal as team mates, could be very interesting when they come to battle it out in races.
