Absolutely, codemasters are not being "nice" but are looking out for future installments of the game. They wish to hook people to the series now and not put them off.

what will the patch fix? the names,faces... etc? or will it also fix the choppy graphics?
because i have an x1300PRO and it ran perfectly on BLC2005 on maxed out settings.. and its very choppy on medium settings for BLC2007

Search the forums for catalyst downloads because X1300 pro is a good card.

yea i upgraded my catalyst today.. im always up to date, because my cousin works at ati also.. but still having problems

If he works at ATI, then try to get a X1950pro or X1650 pro as both are good and will be able to run BLIC 2007 on good graphics settings.

I would seriously doubt that, the only way for them to patch the ps2 version is by replacing the discs, I would imagine 360 owners will need to have a hard drive to use the patch (so core users will miss out).
