I don't see a problem. I'm on plenty of forums which have an 'Official Off Topic' Thread in the welcome section so that posts don't count. It's never been a problem, it's just the place for random chitchat. It's often the case that full on serious debates spawn out of it.

Yeah but I suppose the argument is that the "General Chat Forum" and "Never Ending Topics Forum" can be used for that.

This is a universal age group forum. Not Adult. So obviously admin will mind that, they HAVE TO mind that.

It only went wrong because I was on holiday, the fact is I do a much better job of helping the forum than all the mods

Well they weren't really jokes. More of an in depth description of certain homosexual acts and a lot of talk about Stevie's mum. Gary Barlow was even involved a few times too. It really was very immature of us and although I was well cheesed off at the time, it was rightly closed.

And i'll summarise by saying this;

A Superthread without JJ3 and Muely will be utter shite.

Let me just add as a final thought that your complaints that we are 'out of touch' are completely off the ball. We are the moderators to make this a better forum for everyone from our oldest members to our youngest.

Things like the fake staff forum were jokes to make people laugh. Things like the casino were brought in so you could use it and you guys love it. Now vCash means everything to you and you've got new ways of playing around. We do these things for YOU, not for us. We're not in this for ourselves, we're all in this together. If you feel something is wrong, or someone is being unkind, tell us! We don't want to seem like that, it may seem like that to you but the intention wasn't so!

We are NOT the most strict bunch, some forums have infraction systems were a few offtopic posts may get you banned. We are all for having fun but there are times when it's over the line and the superthread was one.

Sorry guys, but we're in this for you and the superthread was just ridiculous. You don't need it, as Colin said.
