Lol, match over already. I wanted to bat first (to make it more of a game) but they did. They made it to 111, bowlers taking 2s and 3s except Wood who bowled 5 overs, conceding 3 runs with 4 maidens!

Openers chased it down without much hassle, can't check my league position :( its too slow.

And that's the end of the match. Briggs Bullets won by 248 runs.
Briggs Bullets 330-5
oliversarmy 82-10
Nice and comfortable!

Centuries for Jepson and Ali, and all the bowlers bar the YP i was trying today picked up wickets.

My match is just about to start, should be an easy win. Wavell Folkes is playing his second game ever, his debut brought him figures 8.2-3-9-3 :)

win for me, saw my total first and bottled it (covered the result with my hand, like finding the result from scorecard more than fixture list)

but then i saw theirs and was happy, bout the margin i expected

oh and today saw me brech the 100k gate receipts mark

29/09/2006 Played a match and received ?106092 in gate receipts.

Ditto for me too. Almost got the right proportion, a few empty seats but mostly filled.

I get 160K when the stadium isn't filled, and will get 220K when it is filled :p

End of Over 35: 165-3, runrate=4.71
Andrews 8-0-44-0
Cox* 14 (15 balls)
Christie 36 (44 balls)

Last Wicket: Baptiste c. Rheams b. Whing 76 (FOW: 135/3)

Bowling on a H&F pitch. Didn't see that it was a H&F pitch, if I knew I would have played Harkin in the place of Andrews/Folkes. Silly me...

Lost on a GFI against a much better team. I was hoping that the GFI would push things in my favour just enough to sneak a win, which would give me 3 wins out of 3 and enough points and morale to surely guarentee survival. Instead I lose moral and fitness, and have won 2 out of 3.

Am annoyed, could make my whole season go tits up if I lose a couple and morale drops.

Folkes having a poor game so far. 6-0-43-0. Poor PFL, H&F pitch, and bowling in the first 15 and last 10 are all working against him. Should have played Harkin instead...

They were 200/4 after 40 overs, and 6 wickets fell for 74 runs in 9.2 overs, with Tuckett getting a hattrick! Folkes ended with 10-0-72-2 (Last 4 overs - 4-0-29-2), Tuckett with 5/43. Off to a decent start with Bunn and Gallagher opening, 19/0 after 4 overs. Hope this isn't a repeat of Friday, and I end up at like 265/4 after 50 or something.

End of Over 10: 52-0, runrate=5.20, reqrunrate=5.58 (274-10)
St. hubbins 5-0-33-0
Gallagher* 18 (22 balls)
Bunn 34 (38 balls)
Better. Bunn going quite well. Always performs well for me, either when opening or in the middle order, yet can't find a permanent position in my squad, and will be sold by the end of this season. How sad :(

Bunn out for a well made 43 off 52 balls. 77/1 after 15 overs, Shipp the new man in.

I need 6.04 RPO off the next 27 overs.
This is eerily turning into a repeat of Friday's match...

End of Over 30: 139-1, runrate=4.63, reqrunrate=6.80 (274-10)
Hulse 5-0-22-0
Shipp* 30 (47 balls)
Gallagher 61 (83 balls)

Last Wicket: Bunn c. Bolder b. Weston 43 (FOW: 77/1)
I fear history is repeating itself...

End of Over 34: 158-1, runrate=4.65, reqrunrate=7.31 (274-10)
Lazarus 7-0-33-0
Shipp* 36 (63 balls)
Gallagher 72 (91 balls)

Last Wicket: Bunn c. Bolder b. Weston 43 (FOW: 77/1)
No..no...please no...
Nyron Cox is in next :( Crouch is after him. I'm hoping for two wickets in two balls now...

Shipp out, Cox hits a boundary first ball...
End of Over 36: 171-2, runrate=4.75, reqrunrate=7.43 (274-10)
Lazarus 8-0-40-1
Gallagher* 79 (96 balls)
Cox 5 (2 balls)

Last Wicket: Shipp b. Lazarus 37 (FOW: 165/2)
Now get Crouch in somehow...

71 off 54 needed, Crouch and Dennis yet to come.
Honestly, pathetic stuff to get themselves in this position! Didn't they learn anything from Sunday!!

12 off the over! Much more acievable target of 59 off 48. Now 54 off 46...

Cox out. Crouch in :) Very critical knock from him though, 35 off 26. Oh, and Gally has a ton now :)

51 off 42 needed...

44 off 36 balls...Gallagher 106*...

End of Over 45: 236-3, runrate=5.24, reqrunrate=7.80 (274-10)
St. hubbins 8-0-55-1
Crouch* 6 (7 balls)
Gallagher 108 (120 balls)

Last Wicket: Cox c. Christie b. St. hubbins 34 (FOW: 223/3)
That was another tight over.
39 off 30. A few boudaries can turn this thing around.

Gally (Tom Gallagher) goes beserk! 3 boundaries off that over! 15 in all, just a run-a-ball needed!!

18 off 18...

12 off 12 now. I should have won this one easily, but I think my low team fitness was a reason, as well as playing Folkes AND Andrews and not playing Harkin on a H&F wicket.

Runs are just coming a singles! C'mon, a 2 or a four would be nice to break up the monotony and to ease the pressure!
8 off 8...7 wickets in hand...

End of Over 49: 269-3, runrate=5.49, reqrunrate=6.00 (274-10)
St. hubbins 10-0-67-1
Gallagher* 130 (133 balls)
Crouch 17 (18 balls)

Last Wicket: Cox c. Christie b. St. hubbins 34 (FOW: 223/3)
Oh my, I was hoping it wouldn't have to boil down to this. 6 off 6 balls...

Dennis Bradshaw (507394)
RH Batsman, RM Bowler, superb batting form, superb bowling form, changeable
A destructive player with respectable leadership skills and abysmal experience.

Plays For: ketchy shuby
Nationality: West Indies
Age: 23 Years Old
Battrick Rating: 6,972
Wages: ?751 p/w
The bowler.

Ball 1:
49.1 W Bradshaw to Gallagher
And Christie is running around the boundary, he dives, and takes the catch one-handed. What a magnificent catch!!
Oh no!

Ball 2:
49.2 1 Bradshaw to Whing
On leg stump and he flicks it away to fine leg.
5 needed off 4

Ball 3:
49.3 4 Bradshaw to Crouch
Shot! Overpitched on the legs, clipped superbly away through square leg, two men posted on the boundary but he still finds the gap.
Woohoo!! Legend! The only boundary he has hit this innings so far, and it is the most important one! 1 away from winning!

Ball 4:
49.4 1 Bradshaw to Crouch
Smacked to a wide long off. Lazarus doing well to prevent the boundary.
There it is!! :)

Much too close for comfort...

And that's the end of the match. TT Lions won by 6 wickets.
ketchy shuby 274-10
TT Lions 275-4
:)

Weakened lineup, so the ratings aren't bad. But look at the difference! Sheesh, why the hell was it so close!!

WOw wut i an exicitng OD game i had.....jus kidding....got them all out for 26 in 13 overs, Masilo 4 wickets, Alshaun 5, Rampaul 1. Won by 10 wickets

So i welcome u again to Assassins Dome for another exciting games between two arch rivals. Its the 8th game between Assassins XI(me) and Jeanz(Fatal.error) of which I have won only once. Now lets get to the pitch.

Welcome to Assassins Dome for the match between Assassins XI and Jeanz.

We can tell you that Assassins XI won the toss and elected to field. The pitch is looking a little uneven. Should be tough for the batsmen on this partially cloudy and humid day.

Assassins XI have selected Hansen, Mahmood, Hollis, Ettienne, Bernard, Haquani, Short, Akhlagullah, Robinson, Dickman, Rahim.

Jeanz have picked Alvi, Aqil, Rasool, Akhlagullah, Jahangir, Wilson, Ghani, Jantjes, Haishen, Byrne, Matthews.

Lets join our team for ball-by-ball commentary.

A good start for my bowlers got a wicket on first ball of the match.

Alvi runs that one down to third man and they should get a second run here. Robinson slings the throw in and Alvi will have to hurry....Oh amazing! He's run him out from a good 35 metres!

The next man in is Rasool who is his Superb YP batsman.

cup game not going that well against a div 3 team

End of Over 31: 140-1, runrate=4.52
Ali 9-2-38-0
Hitish* 28 (24 balls)
Tau 74 (103 balls)

Last Wicket: Gall lbw b. Rampaul 32 (FOW: 77/1)

I hope my bowlers are able to turn the match around and get a few wickets...if not its up to the batsmen

EDIT

YESSS rampaul gets another break through
33.1 W Rampaul to Hitish
Hook, line and sinker! Rampaul tempts Hitish into fishing outside off stump, Tau reeling in an ugly outside edge at slip.

hope they dont build up another partnership again

Rampauls on fire...nice tight over with 2 wickets
33.6 W Rampaul to Haishen
Strikes Haishen on the pads, it looked to have pitched outside leg stump but the umpire has raised the finger. Replays suggest Haishen was a little unlucky there.
33.5 . Rampaul to Haishen
Great variation from Rampaul. His mastery of flight is a joy to watch.
33.4 lb4 Rampaul to Haishen
The ball flicks the pads, deflecting it out of Abdul kadir's reach and down to the boundary.
33.3 . Rampaul to Haishen
Outside the off. Haishen had a feel at that but is beaten.
33.2 . Rampaul to Haishen
On the back foot, stroked to the off, cover fielding.
33.1 W Rampaul to Hitish
Hook, line and sinker! Rampaul tempts Hitish into fishing outside off stump, Tau reeling in an ugly outside edge at slip.

Haishen was the danger man here....had a bt rating of 21000, so i guess its a big wicket for me
