Sid, I had to field a weakened bowling attack to make sure I had a decent bat this time :p

lol, thanks.Atleast that give my batters a bit of form to say the least. The game seems amazingly similar to the Australia V India CT game that happened yesterday. :p

End of Over 49: 202-10, runrate=4.12
Wood 9-0-40-4
Nugent* 4 (7 balls)

Easy chase for a cracked pitch with their kind of bowlers. Wood improves on his season best (previously 4/51, now 4/40).

End of Over 15: 75-0, runrate=5.00, reqrunrate=3.66 (202-10)
Tshisevhe 8-0-39-0
Kekeletso* 36 (47 balls)
Lungile 37 (43 balls)

Quality work by these two opening.

19.2 4 Nugent to Lungile
That's come right off the middle of the bat. A magnificent shot for four.
And that's his fifty! Well played.

Good lad, 4th of the season off 6 innings (4 50s and 1 century, 141*).

I'm gonna get crushed today. Last time I faced him, restricted him to 279/8, and stumpled to 138 a/o in 31.5 overs. Crouch made a quick 58 off 51 balls and conceded only 45 runs, Tuckett took four wickets and Rudi 3. Tuckett outscored Rudi! Tuckett made 5, and Rudi got a golden duck!
Now that I think about it, a reversed order wouldn't have been so bad...

Lost the toss and bowling first. Rudi starts with a maiden over...

And the second over is worth 12 runs from Folkes...
03/11/2006 Played a match and received ?213505 in gate receipts
That's lower than normal...

7.5 W Folkes to Pienaar
Forward defensive but Pienaar leaves a gap between bat and pad. Bowled.
Woot!
38/1 after 8.

Andrew's first over is worth 12 runs too. He and Atkinson are the weak spots in my bowling attack, so I am gonna replace him next season...
58/1 after 11.

Andrews 3-0-31-0
Crouch 3-0-29-0
There goes my support staff. And they've raced to 106/1 after 16...

The Legend has been hit for 42 runs off 5 overs :crying
Andrews for 41 :crying

Tuckett into the attack...129/1 after 20

Very pleased with todays result. Bowled them out for 228, Fieldwick and (significantly, as he's only 17) Stone both taking 4 wickets. Basson hit 70 and Heath 60-something and I chased it down fairly easily. Should have no problems getting 5th place this year, not bad for my first season in a fairly tough IV.

End of Over 25: 151-1, runrate=6.04
Tuckett - 3 overs for 7.
Rest: 22 overs for 141, with only one wicket!
Rudi and Folkes: 12 overs for 57, 1 wicket.
Andrews and Crouch: 10 overs for 83!!!
I think I have found my weak spot. Ironcially, it is this 'weak spot' which has won me lots of games...

wow, absolutely hammered 1st place, scored 299, then got them out for 59 (ish)

Mampe finally showing his true ability, took 2 for 9, and hit 120+ not out

Well, my game had some drama in it, but unfortunately for the opposing team, it was the race between Lungile to get his 100 and Edwards to get 50...Lungile won :D

42.4 1 Makooi to Lungile
Lungile pushes the ball away into the off side and the men in the middle run a quick single.
And that's a century for Lungile! Well played indeed Sir!

A century not out...

And Edwards not doing badly, 48 off 55.
Kekeletso out for 54 against a pretty decent bowler, so thats all good.

28.6 W Tuckett to Holmshaw
Give me an 'L'! Give me a 'B'! Give me a 'W'! What does that spell? LBW! HE'S OUT!
28.5 W Tuckett to Smyth
That was a textbook shot by Smyth... sadly the textbook in question was 'Cricket for Beginners'... so that's OUT!
:)
Tuckett 5-0-17-2
Folkes 10-0-56-1.
Andrews returns and concedes only two.
End of Over 31: 175-3, runrate=5.65
Still will be chasing 300+...

Crouch concedes only one. Now if both of them can pick up 5 wickets in the next 8 overs, all will be forgiven...

Ah, Kieth Andrews, mister consistency. Another 12 runs off his bowling, and his figures now read a dsimal 7-0-55-0...

And Crouch, not wanting to be shown up, gives away 9. he reads 7-0-52-0...
I think they are having a contest to see who sucks the most. Either that, or they both are extremely drunk or hungover from last night...

Rich Butcher has just tipped me off, Crouch and Andrews are indeed hungover. Would have been smarter of me to play Atkinson and either Whing or Newby in place of Crouch...
Andrews 8-0-60-0
Crouch 8-0-58-0
End of Over 36: 212-3, runrate=5.89

Andrews last over is worth only one run as he concedes 66. Managed to keep it under 70 atleast...

Crouch gives away 15 in his last over, and gets his career worst figures!!
Crouch 10-0-79-0
That's it! From now on, the night before a match they better be in bed by 8 o'clock sharp or else!!!

239/3 after 40, Rudi (5-0-14-0) and Tucket (5-0-17-2) are about to have their figures spoiled...

41.3 W Tuckett to Cole
Cole pulls out the 1 wood and goes for the big drive. Unfortunately for him he hasn't made the ladies' tee and is caught at mid off by Cox. Out.
Fantastic stuff.
250/4 after 42 overs.

42.4 W Rudi to Attwood
Rheams has come right up to the stumps. Rudi launches his slower ball and Attwood dances like a fairy down the pitch, misses, falls over and it's an easy stumping for Rheams, who appears to have an attack of the giggles.
The centurion is OUT!! :)
254/5 after 43...

44.3 W Rudi to Ince
Deceived by the pace of the ball, that's popped up nicely for Rudi to palm.. and that's out, caught and bowled by Rudi.
Rudi is quickly developing into the conerstone of this team alongside Tuckett...

44.4 W Rudi to Chaplow
What a catch, what a marvellous catch by Gallagher.
:)
263/7 after 45 :) Might actually keep it below 300. But it's not like I'd actually chase that down...

45.5 W Tuckett to Rock
Well flighted. Rock trys to cut it and a thin bottom edge is taken by Rheams. You need fast hands and sharp eyes for catches like that.
48.3 W Rudi to Carden
Plumb, line and sinker. You won't see an easier decision today!
49.2 W Tuckett to Bolder
Thin edge which is nicely taken by Rheams.
There goes the tail, and I need 286 to win...

5-fer for Tuckett, gosh he has been bowling well. 5/30 in a match where Crouch went for 79!!

End of Over 17: 90-4, runrate=5.29, reqrunrate=5.94 (285-10)
Rock 4-0-26-0
Whing* 33 (28 balls)
Crouch 27 (23 balls)

Last Wicket: Butcher c. Carden b. Smyth 9 (FOW: 30/4)
As you can see, I was in deep trouble, but some valiant knocks here. They just came out and played positive cricket. Won't win, but it is fun to watch for now:
16.4 6 Rock to Whing
Wonderful! Clean strike back over Rock's head and it goes all the way!
:)

27.1 W Bolder to Whing
Tried to smash that through the cover area, but Chaplow was perfectly positioned and takes the catch at chest height.
Fun while it lasted. 129/5 after 27.1, no hope from here. Made 48 off 61 he did. Arthur Dennis in...

29.6 1 Bolder to Crouch
Worked around to deep square leg for the single.
And that's his fifty! Well played.
He needs to make atleast 80 to make up for the 79 runs he conceded...

30.3 6 Rock to Dennis
Dennis whacked that all the way out of the ground!
:)
I've lost this, but it's nice to see they haven't given up the fight :)
135 runs off 116 balls. One things for sure, they'll want to go down in a blaze of glory :)

7 off his best bowler (Who took 3/15 in his fist spell, and is averaging under 10 this season!!). 126 off 108 balls, with no-one else to come.

99 balls left, 122 runs to win.

33.6 W Smyth to Andrews
That's gone like a rocket to Carden who has caught a wonder catch!
33.5 W Smyth to Dennis
Yorker! Played all around it and his stumps have been scattered.
Ah well, did well enough to reach 150 against this attack. Something makes me feel he demoted on purpose. That, or the league above is a league where I do NOT want to promote too...

117 off the last 15 needed. Crouchy and an Abysmal batter with two worthlesses to come.
Crouch on 65. He needs to wallop another 15, or else he is on a strict no-alcohol diet for the remainder of the season, and I know that'll kill him...

35.5 W Smyth to Rheams
Rheams hammers that one, but Rock foils him and takes a great catch deep on the boundary.
That's gotten rid of the abysmal. Folkes the new man in, for his first bat ever. Is he a hidden talent waiting to shine?

35.6 1 Smyth to Folkes
Folkes chips it over the infield and it lands safely in no-man's land on the leg side and they can jog a single.
His first run ever! And he's off to a flier, strike rate of 100!! :p

36.6 W Rock to Folkes
Oh dear, bowled by a full toss, that should really have been given the treatment.
Atleast he lasted 7 balls. 170/9. Tuckett the new man in, and Crouch creams a four...

37.5 1 Smyth to Tuckett
Solid stroke to cover, Carden misfields and a single is the result.
Tuckett scores a run!
And then Crouch gets another four :)
Crouch 74 (77 balls)
6 more, and he makes up (Somewhat) for conceding 79. And imagine, all this and he is hungover :)

Tuckett gets another single, then a 3!!!
He's made 5 off 7 now, outscoring Rudi (0 off 1) again :D
But he's kept strike! To Smyth!(6/34)!

39.2 4 Smyth to Tuckett
Wide of off, chopped into the gap past point and over the rope for the boundary.
That didn't just happen!
Either way, it's all over now. Crouch failing to make up for conceding 79 runs, although he'll argue he was not-out...
39.6 W Smyth to Tuckett
Big inswinging yorker crashes into his pads. Massive appeal and given!
9 off 11, not bad for the last batter.
I lose by 92 runs, not bad at all. Probably his closest match this season :p

Killed the opposition yet again
batting first my team scored 349 thanks to Abdul Kadir(109) and Hocking (114*) and then bowled them out for 62, Masilo (4-22) Alshaun (3-25) Rampaul (3-11)

End of Over 17: 48-6, runrate=2.82
Dlomo 4-2-9-3
Langer* 23 (41 balls)
Corkhill 0 (1 balls)

should cruise this

End of Over 25: 100-3, runrate=4.00
Burdett 6-0-25-1
Kekeletso* 22 (60 balls)
Bocks 3 (12 balls)
Last Wicket: Wood c & b. Burdett 40 (FOW: 94/3)

Going fairly steadily on a green pitch. Whatever total I post, its not going to be enough but I will be pleased with anything over 150 against the might Bullets.

I think i might win this match against Spin :p ...he's batting now...

I ended on 205, so I got relatively close. I did better than last time, if Riaan (56*) had more partners then it could have got interesting. I was also pleased with my spinner, Slaytor. 2 wickets for him :)
