Fighting Mongooses made a club record of 9/341 in their friendly against Deano's Awesome 11. The match saw Lias' first century accompanied by belligerent half centuries from Conelly and Gerrard.

It was a hard and fast wicket and the Fighting Mongooses didn't muck about, albeit losing Whaley cheaply early on. His partner Lias, however was more tenacious, making a thrifty 105 off 107 balls, while Conelly and then Gerrard punched boundaries freely, Handley taking a telling 4/65.

Deano's Awesome 11 made a steady start, but soon found themselves at 4/100. Jacobs steadied them with 66 and they held on and looked to bat out the innings before Broomes ripped through the lower order with a hattrick and Moodley cleaned up the tail with another three wicket over, all out for 149 with 12 overs remaining. Man of the Match Moodley took 4/36, while Broomes bowled an unplayable 3/21.

Game against Embi is going really well...for Embi i.e.Got me AO for 201 and he's currently looking good at 11/2 after 2 overs.Atleast I got 6k from the game. :p

Against Sri Krishna(Viral's team). I let him select my playing XI.
Green pitch, I won the toss and elected to bat, and the openers have gotten me off to a good start. Spearitt looking quite dangerous, and Cox is happy as ever to knock the ball about.
Or make that was, as he fall's after making 25, spinner Moodley striking with his first ball:
End of Over 11: 55-0, runrate=5.00
Hitish 6-0-33-0
Cox* 24 (36 balls)
Spearitt 29 (31 balls)
11.1 W Moodley to Cox
Pull shot straight into the hands of Malik at square leg.

Played a match and received ?11925 in gate receipts.
Not much, but decent.

Two more wickets down as another bowling change does the trick:
End of Over 17: 90-3, runrate=5.29
Fordham 2-0-14-2
Dennis* 1 (1 balls)
Spearitt 48 (48 balls)

Last Wicket: Butcher c. Harley b. Fordham 0 (FOW: 87/3)
Skipper Dennis in. He and everyone after him (And the dude before him, Butcher) are on V.Attacking. Spearitt is on Attacking. This is gonna be interesting...

End of Over 36: 187-3, runrate=5.19
Moodley 8-0-36-1
Spearitt* 85 (106 balls)
Dennis 56 (58 balls)

Last Wicket: Butcher c. Harley b. Fordham 0 (FOW: 87/3)
100 runs in 19 overs between them. Good partnership. Sets me up well for the slog overs, with plenty of batting in Whing, Rudi and Newby...

Spearitt out for a fine 89.
38.5 W Paki to Spearitt
Ghandi, leaping like an indefatigable salmon returning to the spawning grounds, pocketed a glorious catch just inside the boundary rope.
Whing the new man in:
End of Over 39: 197-4, runrate=5.05
Paki 8-0-31-1
Whing* 1 (1 balls)
Dennis 60 (66 balls)

Last Wicket: Spearitt c. Ghandi b. Paki 89 (FOW: 196/4)
200 off 40 overs, Rudi yet to come, 300 should be a possibility.

10 off the 41st over...
19 off the 42nd.
:) The slog has started well.
End of Over 42: 233-4, runrate=5.55
Paki 9-0-50-1
Whing* 8 (9 balls)
Dennis 88 (77 balls)

Last Wicket: Spearitt c. Ghandi b. Paki 89 (FOW: 196/4)
Dennis firing on all cylinders here :) 3 fours and a 6 in the last 9 balls he has faced...

Challengers XI wisely elected to field on a grassy looking wicket. They dominated the first innings, allowing a brave opening partnership of 73 before Wood threw the hammer down, taking 4/28, his best ever friendly score to finish them off for a meagre 201.

Then twas time for the Challengers to show prowess with the bat. Wood and Kekeletso gathered a never-seen-before top order rating of mediocre, and Kekeletso showed it, with a magnificent run-per-ball 123 not out. After Carter-harris took the wicket of Wood, for a tiny 12, Croft and Long were both run out. Edwards just had time to hit a single to take the Challengers score to 201 also, before Kekeletso finished off in style with a huge six over cow corner.

Good game Sid, I enjoyed it. Dunno what you were saying about a challenge :p but its nice to win once in a while against a PlanetCricket team ;)
And the 6Ks handy too.

Last 5 overs have yeilded 46/1 :) 250 up, and 5 more overs to go. 300 is the goal here, with Whing, Rudi in and Newby to come...

Beat the Rabbitohs by 10 wickets, bowled them out for 40 odd, Ali took his first ever 5 for! very pleasing :)

I managed to get 110 runs in my final ten overs, and set a target of 315 for Viral :) Rudi showed me a side I thought he never had, creaming 44 off 21 balls, well supported by Whing's 42 off 30. Together, they put on 71 runs off 37 balls. :)

And they are already 1 down:
End of Over 5: 20-1, runrate=4.00, reqrunrate=6.56 (314-5)
Harkin 3-0-9-0
Ahmed* 9 (14 balls)
Harley 7 (6 balls)

Last Wicket: Malik b. Folkes 3 (FOW: 11/1)
3.4 W Folkes to Malik
That one was kept low and stayed low, no chance for Malik.

They've built quite well now:
End of Over 17: 88-1, runrate=5.18, reqrunrate=6.88 (314-5)
Whing 4-0-22-0
Harley* 41 (50 balls)
Ahmed 40 (45 balls)

Last Wicket: Malik b. Folkes 3 (FOW: 11/1)
Just waiting for Rudi to come in a stop the runs from bleeding. He and Folkes should get the job done :)

26.3 W Rudi to Ahmed
He's been bowled! A little inside edge took it onto the stumps, how unlucky can you get?
Great little spell by Rudi, has really tied them down. 4-2-3-1 :)
End of Over 28: 106-2, runrate=3.79, reqrunrate=9.50 (314-5)
Folkes 9-0-28-1
Sagren* 1 (4 balls)
Harley 48 (83 balls)

Last Wicket: Ahmed b. Rudi 48 (FOW: 104/2)
I think I have this in the bag, although they put up a good fight. With Whing and Newby having 10 more overs between them, they have a chance to score around 230 and bat their 50 overs.

And that's the end of the match. TT Lions won by 128 runs.
TT Lions 314-5
Sri Krishna Team 186-10
A decent fight put up nonetheless. Rudi finishing with 7-2-11-4 to top off his 44* off 21 balls, easy candidate for MOTM.

Was a good game for you.Actually I was expecting a batting collapse of sorts,my batters had been getting scores of 300+ in the past few games,so a dip was expected. My bowling was dissapointing though,Tomlinson continues to be thrashed around despite being proficient in primary and secondary and mediocre in stamina.Good game though.

Surprise win for the Fighting Mongooses, Took It Easy against the 2nd ranked (and previously undefeated) team in the league and yet came away with a comfortable 5 wicket victory.

6.4 . Giles to Ainsworth
Ainsworth is looking to get on the front foot there, but Briggs at mid on fields comfortably and there's no run.
A change in alligance has been detected! the guy is called Gary Briggs, which coincidentially is my dad's name! how dare he!
