Yes, probably as the reviewers are not cricket fans you get a more balanced review as to how good the game actually is rather than a rose tinted view.

I think JANER's point was to do with the guy not understanding how the controls relate to the shots, and not to do with the 3/10 score. Had the guy said "Great game, 9/10 but the controls are bad", the point JANER made would be just as valid.

A few years ago, I occasionally played some footie games on a friend's play station. Good as they were, I couldn't get used to which button to press. I would probably have the same comment if I reviewed the game.

Assuming the reviewer isn't a cricket fan, it probably means he's not played a cricket game for at least a year, so hasn't got the feel for the controls in the short time he would have had the game for the review.

??? cant agree. i rate C2005 8/10. comparing C2004 to 2005, i would rate 2004 at 3/10 (without any patches made by planetcricket). after patching 2005 its possible to reach the 9.5 for me.... (my opinion)

Well considering I spent yrs playing Cricket 97 and 99 like many other cricket fans out there, I would probably rate this game an 8.5/10 I think the reviewer is strictly a games critic and not a genuine cricket fan.

We can go on for pages and pages in this forum about the bugs and all our complaints, yet I can still remember that the 1 time I played BLC bak in 99, I enjoyed it so much because there was more thyan just 1 pathetic camera angle like in cric 97.

At that time I wuda rated BLC 9/10. But since then the game itself has improved with tons more features.

Maybe cric 2k7 will have at least half the bugs solved and hopefully include at least half of the features which we all hope for.
