Yes, you can use the Intel® Texture Works plugin for Photoshop instead of the NVIDIA DDS plugin. It generally works well for most DDS formats and is often easier to install on newer versions of Photoshop. But in some cases, when it comes to textures that use transparency (like jersey alpha channels or logos with soft edges), Intel’s plugin can sometimes cause issues — especially with DXT5 or BC3 formats, which are commonly used for transparent textures.
