Opening batsmen Tom Stray comes in to play his first, first class match after good performances in the futures league comp. As does talented quick Jayde Herrick. Victoria's strength lies in it's middle order of Finch, D Hussey, White & Wade.

Herrick has actually made his first class debut for Wellington last month. His club captain at St Kilda is Damien Wright, who is one of their overseas players. Wellington have been struggling through a combination of players touring and key injuries. So Wright got word that they could use a proper quick and Herrick hopped on a plane. He took six wickets.

Very slow start to the game. Hill will want to make a 100 else all that time he spent would be for nothing if he got out now. White has a start, if he can go back to back against the English B attack that should start getting him back on the selectors radar for Tests.

Bresnan better not take anymore wickets. His batting really is not special enough for him to merit a place on the team to strengthen the tail. His bowling is garbage too as is well known
