Do spinners get edges, close in catches?

The thrill on playing dusty wickets is to see spinners getting edges resulting in close in catches. But Cricket 2004 does not offer that excitement even on dusty wickets, at least so for with me! Has any one got that experience? What I get is an lbw decision if you bowl close to the wicket on middle stump with no speed or sometimes the result is 'bowled'. No edges to close in catchers. I use Boss's patch.

Yea, its rare. Slip ones do come though. You can get edges into the pads, but they almost never carry to a fielder...

but i modified the edge values but that too doesnt produce edges even for lower order, wht must i do to bring in edges in the game bit more of realism

I cant recall getting an edge to slip or even to the 'keeper when bowling spin.....but I usually get a lot of catches close in at shortleg /silly midoff even on normal wickets....

I managed to get edges (from spin) quite easily ages ago when playing in the west indies, but I can't remember how

What sort of information exactly? :confused:

I tried the earlier patches, some will let the close-in fielders into the action. Even the original GOB without any patch is ok for spinners.
