Your Cricket Drills or tips for moving your feet when batting

one thing in youngsters i have noticed is that they dont keep the eye on the ball and for moving feet tell someone to throw balls and practise. it takes time

Also it might be your shoes. My footwork was rubbish when i wore metal spikes in my shoes but i felt much lighter on the pitch when i took them out

Well my mate was a crap batsman who became an openner in our team. He told me he just steps towards the ball if a pacemen. If a spinner (especially leggy) he doesn't let it turn so he either charges or pretends to so he can play the pull. Also, he used a small golf ball, tied a string around it, put it on a hanger and used a stump to practice his drives. Mind you he stole the idea from the great Don Bradman.

well that what most of the batsman who cant pick the deliveries like flipper or doosra so they just charge down to change the bowlers length but it works cuz they are making the bowler bowl to there strengths

I like to dance when a bowler runs in off a long runup. Just jump around in the crease, move back and forth. Only advisable for tennis ball though!

Otherwise start walking down the pitch as they bowl. My sir does that, and he's one of the best bats in UAE. Walks down the tracks to seamers as they run in, to get them to pitch it short, and waits for the spinner to release the ball before doing it.

Just keep one thing in your mind move towards the pitch of the ball. just a basic trick and as someone has sujested, you could add some trigger movements like KP has going across just before the bowler bowls the ball. :cheers
