For the achievement I feel this deserves its own thread.
I'm sure some of you will have seen this but comedian, actor and now runner Eddie Izzard recently 43 marathons in 51 days - 1,110 miles of England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland. He's 47, by his own admission was unfit and had hardly run since his days at school. He had 4 weeks to prepare, not normally enough for a runner to do one marathon.
Along the way he faced ridiculous terrain, horrible weather and some bad injuries and yet, throughout all of it, he was always friendly and had time for every person that approached him.
This guys a true inspiration, one of the funniest comedians this country has ever produced, just completed a feat that the majority of people on this earth couldn't have achieved (even pro athletes) and an all round a top guy.
If you haven't seen the programmes there on BBC3, in 3 parts and each an hour long. Well worth a watch. I'm sure there will be a large section tomorrow on sport relief regarding this fantastic achievement.
