The Final Of The One Day Triangular Tournemant:
Indies win the toss and elect to bat. Its a sunny day here, the pitch is nice and hard. It should have something it in it for the batsmen and the bowlers, and if the openers can survive the early spell then they should be able to post a reasonable target. The pitch may detoriate a little as the innings progresses however it is by no means a bad batting track.
Vaughan was quick to admit that although he would have batted first, had the toss been won; his bowlers have an edge over the indies having bowled them out fairly cheaply in the previous one dayer before this final.
England off to a flyer, Anderson has a peach of a delivery, gayle plays across the line, on the cover drive, only mis-hitting the catch straight into the gratefull hands of Harmsion at gully (

). A few balls later anderson in his second over knocks over hinds, just clipping his off stump with an inswinger. Lara arrives at the crease muttering words of discontent (sounding like he's been smoking pot all night). He went aftr Harmison but the extra pace caught him out, he attempted a front foot straight drive and only skied it up miles. Harmison was able to take a sweet diving catch. Anderson next over brought the end of samuels, who could only nick it to the keeper. Indies at 5-17 and in real trouble could this be a complete whitewash. NO!!! Jacobs and hurley had other ideads. As the ball started to lose its shine all seam and swing quickly disappeared, and they were able to build a FAT partnership of well over 100 runs. They mixed aggression with defense well. In the end after scoreing 105 runs, Jacobs lobbed a front foot square drive straight to Collingwood at cover. Hurley panicked at loseing his big time partner and blasted one straight down andersons throat on the boundry, vaughan was the bowler. Then came the delivery of the innings, Drakes fresh at the crease received a fairly short floater (not the turd) out side off stump from vaughan, drakes played all around it and it clean bowled him, hitting half way up middle stump. Dillion ran himself out going for an extra run off what was clearly a single. Collymore was caught by read, off a slow ball by harmison.
West Indies are all out for 210 after 47 overs. Indies made a fighting recovery after what was an abysmal start. However England are confident they can win the match as the required run rate is only 4.22 per over
