Fifa 2002 World Cup - Your views

yeah the Argentina-Sweden match was a REAL shocker!!Sweden is perhaps the weakest team in the tournament and they defated the Argentines -- many people's firm choice for the cup.
With both France and Argentina gone Brazil,Italy,Spain and Perhaps Germany have high chances on winning the cup.
What is your opinion?

Also, you're right that its disappointing to have two of the favorites, France and Argentina out of the World Cup in the first round itself.

In my opinion, the chances of a cup win are greater for Brazil and Spain. Also, check out Portugal. You'll love their play.

what bout germany klose is getting close to golden boot and then there is italy the most boring team out there no attack only defense(but still it is broken)and then above all there are the angrez who i think at this pt have the most chance of winning the cup

... quiet an unusal world cup so far. all the great names are struggling..

france and agrentina are already out. italy just made it to the second round. my hopes now remain in england and brazil. but i except a fiala between germany and brazil.

there is also chance for a new team to hold the world cup this time.. may be spain... or denmark! or senegal!!

wc has been a tourney for underdogs
spain should be good fav because they who were the last of the fav to win are really prog well

Italy struggled to get to the second round. Even the last match, they never looked like the force to win a world cup.

Anyway, the three favorites - France..Argentina..Portugal are all gone.

I will put my money on Brazil..Spain..Germany. In order of preference (No Betting, please!)

Senegal (Don't think so)
Denmark (May surprise all of us)
Others (At the moment, OUT OF QUESTION)

English fans may think I'm a bit rude to them but.. You may well see England out of the World Cup 2002 in the second round. If they make it though, they aren't going to last long unless they show some extra-ordinary brilliance.

Well England just creamed Denmark 3 - 0, my pick for the semis

Brazil, Spain, Germany, Japan

Sorry but england will be playing Brazil in 1/4s and I think Japan will beat Sweeden in the 1/4s

Final will be Brazil Vs Spain (maybe Germany can upset the spanish)
