Kaif led India to victory in the U-19 World Cup on Si Lanka in 2000.

Also,i do not agree with Zorax when he says Kaif would be better than Dravid.
I agree that the team has been faring badly in the tests ever since dravid has taken over.

I feel that he should continue for the One-dayers ...and get Ganguly back ...what say ?

I don't think Dravid has been good as a captain at all. Maybe Yuvraj is the way to go, but not Ganguly.

Also, Dravid has never been domestic skipper before his new gig.
Kaif should really be our captain. Maybe even Kumble.

There is no point debating this now. The BCCI has already appointed Dravid as captain of the Indian team till the end of the world cup.

Yuvraj is too young i think and yes Dravid has been appointed the captain till the end of the worldcup...

Yuvraj is seriously doubtful.... Aniways Dravid will most probably be the captain till the end of his international career.., which isnt atleast for the next 3 years.

Thats the thing we do not have a genuine test captain skilled enough to lead .
unless you count on Kumble.
Tendulkar was tried and so has been Dravid.
Also the rest of the team is completely new.So we just cannot have a new comer onto the mantle .

As I have said, give Dravid another series.
If he does not succeed, then look for another test skip, but let him remain as the odi skip

Yup...I mean he has been really inconsistent in the tests...and they have just drew a series with a very weakened England side...so they should really start looking for a replacement for him in the tests...

Right.....
Panesar's played three tests, that's a fair assumption.
Hussey will probably retire around the time Ponting leaves, so that's an improbable guess.
With regards to Shane Bond; what's wrong with Fleming? And after Fleming's era, I believe Vettori may be in line for the role.

Vettori will definately get the gig when Fleming goes

its hard not to say M Clarke for Australia because just about everything points to him being the next skipper.
