Have anyone of you resolved the issue at the ingame loading screen yet? I disabled the sound in device manager and then the game works without sound. Also did update of my sound drivers and then still got stuck. Must be sound problem with OpenAl. Demo works also fine on my pc. Do anyone have suggestion? or maybe a codec that works with OpenAl?? Have no idea!!
PLEASE HELP !!!!

If I disable the sound in device manager, game does not load at all .
it gives a generic error.

It's a really long shot but try getting AC3 filter from here
I doubt it will work but it's always worth giving things a try.

alritey. forget about disabling audio. it's not the problem.

get the 3d analyze program, and start with aditya123's settings here:

http://planetcricket.org/forums/showpost.php?p=718498&postcount=54

i get past the initial loading screen, and upto the toss. again, same problem as posted in the link - the game terminates at the toss.

need to tinker around and find the right settings to get things to work -
maybe find the right Vendor ID and device ID (one member used vendorID 4098 and deviceID 20040)? i have no clue.

at least its progress :D

Pardon me for saying this, but isn't that an unsupported graphics card for BLIC 2007??

I tried reverting back to my onboard gfx (INTEL82845).
The cutscenes ran superb, but the actual game looks wierd.
I have attached a file and marked the problem area in the file.

I now found that the game works if I select that there should by no commentary. The rest of the sounds are working. The moment I enable the commentary while playing , the game hangs and I have to reboot!!! It's defenitly a sound problem while its trying to streem all the sound and the commentary.

I have a Geforce 6600, but it seems not to be the problem as the game halts when I enable the commentary while playing. With the rest of the sounds the game works!!

I got a response from the OpenAl website. They suggested the following on the sound:

The repeating sounds indicates a conflict with resources.
In short, the program never gets the response message about the buffers being completed for more processing. On OLD sound cards, this might be an IRQ conflict. That is, 2 or more devices sharing the same IRQ. One gets the message but did not pass it further along.
Please Check resources used for each device installed.
and change or disable it temporarily
