Yeah. I really don't see where I said that the PC is superior or I even talked about the PC. I was talking about the game.Your first post in this thread.
Only discussing GT and not trying to say that the PC is superior? Yeah right...
Yes I know that PCs can be more powerful, yes I know there are some good PC exclusives but as a football fan who's favourite non-football game series has been GTA I would rather play a console that has a good new football game (FIFA 08) and GTA IV rather than a powerful machine with Crysis and a few other shooters.
Just leave it, this isn't doing the thread any favours.
There's no point in saying this all here mate, I think Madman just wants people to talk about GT5 only isn't it? Or he might as well take you too in the PC vs. Consoles direction.....Just got the PC demo for Grid, and having played a lot of GT5:P at my cousins over the past couple of weekends I have to say I'm suprised how different they feel.
I know the damage thing in GT5 is temporary, really Prologue is just a demo, but it was a suprise exclusion. I love the way the damage system works in Grid, the loosing of parts of a car is far from revolutionary, but tyre popping and people scampering for cover who are watching is
Anyway, the graphics are the best I've seen on a racing game to date, in all aspects. Don't get me wrong, the models in GT5 are excellent, but boy are those environments bland, and the overuse of the blur effect really gets to me. The overall look of Grid is excellent, and the use of AA means that the annoying jaggies found in GT5 are eliminated.
As for gameplay, its a toughy. GT5 is nicely balanced if you ask me, but it is aimed very mainstream. However, so it turns out is Grid. Once up to high speed the handling appears to be like driving a feather, the way the screen bends in made me feel like it was about to take off. Still, I loved the mayhem of it all, and the windscreen effects were superb.
Overall, I think it shades GT:P, but really I'm comparing two demos, so opinions are a little stagnated. Although, playing it with a wheel is a lot of fun, so I recommended people to give it a try, it seems to be a love/hate game.
Yes I am an idiot am I not? Thanks a lot. Wow. What a big title isn't it? Being called idiot by Madman. Hell my foot, who really cares. You're not an official PC title giver are you?Right, you really are being a tosser now, we agreed to leave it and then you start this shite again.
At least pingusten's posts are properly thought out and informative, the total opposite to your fanboy fuelled ones.
Go back to school and learn English again as well, you need to sort out your grammar:
Should be
An elipsis is "..." not "....." as well.
If you do not leave it now you are an idiot, simple.
Head over to the consoles vs PC thread now, leave this one.Your posts are one sided, and I used to play all my games on PC until just over a month ago, PC got boring so I got a console, you must have a problem with that though.
This thread is about GT5, discussing that game, what do you come here and do? Compare it to your PC's NFS Pro Street, saying it looks a lot better... Why do that? They are not even the same type of racing game really, it's just to force across your PC's "superiority".
I was saying FPS suck because I don't find point and click very fun tbh, especially online when you have a load of yanks yelling "z0mG pWnD n0oB" every 2 seconds, and everyone flaming each other in the text chat.
And the PC's top genre is FPS games, which means that I think having a good PC is not worthwhile. that is not a senseless opinion, I have thought about it before I post it. A senseless would be "this sucks, PC sucks, consoles are a lot better" but I have not said that have I?
Also, do I need to put "in my opinion", "imo" etc. after every post I say? Everyone with a bit of brain capacity can figure out that I am using my opinion when I post without me having to post it every time.
Can't you just let it drop? You prefer point and click, I prefer GTA and Fifa, end of argument.
You two, stop it. And no "But Mum!" from either of you.
