Anyone playing this at the moment, or is it still COD mania.

I'm up to level 14, i pre-ordered off play.com so i got the Merc SLS and Nissan GTR500 stealth editions which help a bit.

Also, GT5 gives you a car from the year your psn says you were born in on your birthday, so make a PSN account for today from a year you want a car from (you have to be over 18, so anything before 1992) and you might get it.

I made a 1967 account and got the Ferrari LeMans car that's worth 20mill

Yup, level 22 here. Though I'm not using the birthday exploit.

Just about to be gifted an ALMS Audi \o/ Got a 829-bhp Murcielago too, though it does kill you when you think of touching the accelerator.

I got this about a week ago, I'm quite impressed. This is my first GT game other than GT4 prologue, so some of this stuff seems new to me.

Is B-Spec any good when you get into it? I got halfway through a match and thought it was rubbish.

Even A-Spec, it's getting very difficult to get a decent placing in the amateur and the later beginner series of events. They keep asking me to buy a car from a particular range, I do it, and I find out it's not poweful enough and I get crushed... Any good ways to get easy cash?

You need to buy the car, and then take it to the tuning shop and spend a bit of money "doing it up". This helps most of the time.

You must be doing well. The birthday exploit sounds good when you do it and get a car that looks great, but the game doesn't have many events that you can use it in.

Up at level 26 now, the new patch out yesterday is quite detailed.
