I thought I'd start a thread for questions about graphics. If you're a newbie, just ask away in here, and I'm sure they'll reply with an answer.

I have a question. I just got some renders. But they are with the file format .c4d
Photoshop will not allow me to open this. Does anyone know why? Thanks.

C4D means Cinema 4D File.

Cinema 4D is Superior Than Photoshop,It is Used to create Renders which you're using in 1 min.

It's Greater Than Photoshop As well as Harder than Photoshop.I'll Post my works with it.

its as Nick said above. Its the 3d renders we use and as photoshop is 2d it wont let you open it

Here are some C4d renders I have done over the last couple of months....now you know the power of C4D....

hope you like it :D

Now,this is not as easy as you think.you need a unique skill excluding the skills you have in photoshop.i have mastered it over the last three years to get to this stage, taking no tutorials, reading all the manuals given.this is very hard.takes a lot of time to master it gilly fan.

Edit:gosh!i'm gonna post my C4D's i've done so far in my thread.omg, why i stuck at photoshop?omg~_^!

Looks great. But I dunno how they'd be implemented into sigs. Especially sporting sigs.

Renders Are Of Many types.

probably the ones you're talking is about the ones people use in sigs as Backgrounds and for little enhancement.

that type of renders are made with a transperant backgorund.so,when you use it in a sig, only the render will be visible.

For adding depth to sigs. To stick them in on lighten on screen and are generally put on low opacity's.

yeah but you might want to search for c4ds in deviant art and you will find more suitable renders for the BG!
