Hayden Vs Sehwag

Sehwag is one of the only 3 people in world cricket to score 2 triple hundreds in test cricket history. That little piece of stat tilts the balance in his favour IMO. And he made it both against reasonably good test teams(PAK and RSA).
The only other batsmen to make 2 triple hundreds are Bradman and Lara and he is already one of the greatest players to play the game in my book.
Interesting that Jason Gillespie is better than both Sehwag and Hayden in Bangladesh.
Which show that stats are not reliable when rating a player.
BTW, why are you guys so serious in a discussion? Yet to see a fun discussion in this site after I registered.

Depends on which threads you read. There are plenty of others which are more light-hearted but we do tend to try and keep threads on topic rather than letting them wander off at tangents.

Obviously Cristian Bale, he is so good he has never lost his wicket.
And between the other two it has to be Hayden. Hayden always looks like he will dominate an attack and is one of the players bowlers are terrified of. Sehwag is a good player but he always gives the option of loosing his wicket with the way he plays. He play far more expansive then Hayden.

Sehwag is just a bullshit who tries to hit every ball up in the air. When he succeeds he ends up scoring 400 in 50 balls. He's never been the one whom India could rely upon at times of danger. If compared to this Haydos was a complete cricketer, he knew when to defence and when to hit.
Remember the WC 2003 Final that India lost? Sehwag was the only one who played well for india. He made an 80+ score when everyone failed around him. The match was played in Jo'burg where RSA chased 434 in a similar pitch. If someone had supported Sehwag in the final, we might have won it.

Yes it can matter if you hit 83 of 68 balls with a 50 coming in 32 balls. Fielding side loss. Batting side win.

I think everyone who voted for Christian Bale knows Hayden is better but dislike Ben so much they don't want to give him the satisfaction of him winning. 
If he was going to get banned I hope Ben made it something worthwhile.

Now that Haydos has retired, or is going to, all eyes will be on Sehwag to see if he can continue to perform during his career.
