How will Drake perform on Twenty20 d?but against United Arab Emirates?

  • A miserable effort where he is sadly ducked and then slogged at 10+ an over without taking a wicket

A 15 year old in IPL? Doubt it, surely he's not anywhere near the best players from associate nations.

Hey I never said he was, just cricket has just gone and jumped to conclusions:p

Well it would be a bit strange to announce something like this and then make it have no relevance to the story! :p
But I guess this could mean Drake just has more of a chance for Hong Kong because their best players are away playing for KKR.
Waiting intently for the next update!

Yes I must say, what was the point in announcing that if it doesn't involve Drake :p

I've got a teeny, tiny feeling in my stomach that it just may involve him some how.

Ah, IPL already involved. I hope Drake doesn't join KKR. Infact he should dump them and join a better franchise.

TGS, i have been reading this story for a while now, and every update has a new twist and turn to the story. It is a very enjoying read.

I hope you keep this story going.

I know it's been a week since the last full update I've just had exams to study for recently. Updates should get more frequent again over the next 3 weeks as it is school holidays.

that's absolutely fine tgs. I also struggle to update my stories reguarly because of school and everything else that comes with it.

CHAPTER 2: TANZANIAN TROUBLE: PART 4

It took 18 hours all together, this included the tedious process of flying to Dubai in United Arab Emirates to refuel on petrol. We were joined by the United Arab Emirates cricket team who where playing the finals of Division 2 in Uganda next week. Then it was a turbulence filled 6 hours to Nairobi but unfortunately there was nowhere for are plane to land so we were stalled in the air for at least an hour.

I was quite fortunate enough on the plane to sit next to a Emirati player roughly 2 years older than me who had also had troubles with his parents about going to Africa. We discussed this in great length but afterwards things became slightly awkward and I returned to watching poorly dubbed Swahili films for the remainder of the flight.

As if the lengthy flight wasn't bad enough as soon as we got past immigration Mr. Atkinson informed us that the friendly match against Kenya had been cancelled due to the fact they could not put out a full side because of the fact that most of their key players had other work commitments.

Mr. Atkinson insisted that immediately we take a 5 hour bus drive straight to Arusha in Tanzania rather than staying in Nairobi over night. The squad didn't approve of this but he was the coach after all and what he says goes.

Reluctantly we all slowly hoped onto a bus hired by the HCCA to take us to Arusha. I was made to sit at the front next to Mr. Atkinson after being rejected a seat from the majority of the players. I took out my PSP, feeling very childish at this point and I kept noticing that Mr. Atkinson was constantly peering over looking at my screen, intrigued by how all of this modern technology worked.

4 hours in, my PSP ran out of battery. I tucked it away into the back pocket of my jeans. Everything was quite now and an awkward tension filled the bus. Mr. Atkinson broke it by handing me an old fashioned mobile phone.

"Best, to reassure your parents, lad, let them know your safe." He winked at me.

I took the phone from his hand but not before wondering whether he'd worked out what I'd done to get away.

"H-hi, mum" I said nervously, waiting for her screaming rant.
"Drake, Drake, is that you?" She sounded more worried than angry.
"Yes, yes it is mum" I felt more relaxed now, but not for long.
"WHERE ARE YOU YOUNG MAN?"
"On a bus, In a sandy and deserted part of Kenya, on my way to Tanzania"
I WANT YOU TO TURN THAT BUS AROUND AND GET BACK ON A PLANE TO HONG KONG!"
I don't think that's possible, mum"
"DON'T YOU BE SMART WITH ME!"

I paused for a moment to look ahead out of the window, it looked like we must be coming up to the Kenyan/Tanzanian border. There were men who appeared to be soldiers, bearing guns a few hundred yards ahead, standing on each side of the road. Although as we slowly approached further, I couldn't see any signs or objects informing us that it was the border, just more open road lay ahead. I looked at the aggressive looking soldiers again thinking nothing of them before returning to the conversation with my enraged mother.

"Don't worry mum, I'm safe-"

BOOM!

TGS

Take a guess at what's happened everyone :p

hmm,

i think the 'soldiers' that drake said about seeing, weren't soldiers, they were in fact extremists who began shooting at your coach, quite like the attack on the togo team bus before the african cup of nations (football)

otherwise, you had a tyre blow. I doubt that there are roadside bombs in kenya.

Going to extremes there :p Maybe all that happened was his mum just erupted into the biggest, loudest fit of rage of all time :p

maybe.

i suppose it doesn't have to be where he is, it could be that his house at home explodes for some reason, and he is then forced with the dilemma of whether to go back or not.
