Poor Colly. He's having a nightmare out there. He'll find match fixing allegations coming his way if he isn't careful!

RB: Well we've received an e-mail today questioning the integrity of Paul Collingwood and certainly his bowling today suggests that something is up with his game. Tony Greig.

TG: Well the scrotometer readings are showing that it's incredibly hot and sticky out there and I managed to wring 2 bucketfuls of sweat out of Andrew Caddick this morning, which probably explains why he's only bowled 4 overs.

RB: Thanks for that Tony. Well Colly did swing it a lot this morning - it was really far out I dug it - but he was also smashed for 22 runs in just 2 overs and has promptly removed from the attack by Michael Vuaghan. We'll have to wait and see whether or not he can redeem him self in the the second session.

thanks you have inspired me to go and play the game again after a weekend of drinking!

RB: Marvellous comment that. And we look forward to seeing more of your thoughts online today.

RB: Welcome back here to Port of Spain. It's been a sticky morning for the Trinidad team and England certainly cranked up the heat after the break. With the score at 67-3 it didn;t take long for Harmo to get those incredibly long legs of his in full flow. Rumour has it he has signed a contract to model the Pretty Polly Transvestite range alongside Eddie Izzard but that didn't distract from his cricket and after seeing Ganga edge him for four he managed to take the edge of the bat just two balls later and Andersen took the catch.

RB: Shortly afterwards Ali attempted a quick single. The keen exuberant new batsmen scampering down the wicket from the non-strikers end only to see Nasser Hussain pull out a fantastic piece of fielding and get the second run out of the day.

TG: Well Richie I'd put that one down to the run out bug in the game. Terrible when that happens the ball thrown in from Hussain wasn't that hard and fast and England lucky to get the wicket.

BL: Blow it out your arse Tony - that's one of the finest pieces of fielding you'll ever see. He' s a brilliant fielder Nasser Hussain lithe acrobatic like a cat on a fence and he's pulled out all the stops there to leave Trinidad 83/5.

TG: And here comes Harmison to Roberts. He's been in fine form Harmison and Roberts has already edged him for 4 in this over. His worked hard on his game tis winter and is bowling tremendously fast. He fully deserves his place in the top 3 in the world.

BL: What you talking about Tony, he's a no-one this Harmison and the BFG in a cricket jumper, he's not a hero like Big Merv or Glenn McGrath or the spin wizard Shane Warne. He's a Victorian Warney and a hero, we all love him and it was outrageous the way that conspiracy to weaken the Australian team saw him out of action for a year.

TG: Blow it out your arse Bill, Harmison is bowling well at the moment and here he comes and thats a great delivery Roberts has edged him again straight into the arms of Ashley Giles who has dived across the entire slip cordon to take that catch out of the hands of James Andersen that renowned slip fielder and Trinidad in real trouble now at 89/6.

RB: Well rumours surrounding Paul Collingwood took another turn today as he was smashed for another f*cketload of runs. Edges galore and plenty of boundaries saw him finish with figures of 65 runs for no wickets off 11 overs. Really **** poor effort that and I doubt we'll see him again this tour until the one dayers.

Chan raced into the 20's thanks to Collingwoods generosity but Andersen saw to Chan, Black and Ramnarine in a blistering spell that resulted in the home side finishing their innings 137 all out.

England began their response tentatively with Butcher mistiming a sweep but being dropped by Roberts. After just TWO overs the heavens opened and play was suspended with England on 3/0. PLay is expected to resume on Day TWO just after lunch and we we look forward to your company then.

RB: Welcome back here to Port of Spain and England have had a mixed start in their reply to the Trinidad total. Vaughan and Btcher really got off to a flyer smashing the ball to all four corners of the ground. Disaster struck though when Vaughan had an absolute stinker and left a straight one (nothing to do with the phone ring and a finger slip) and then Butcher departed for the addition of just 4 runs playing teh most bizarre looking shot in the history of the game. England failed to recover from being 79-2 and Hussain 9, Solanki 15 and Clarke 18 all fell cheaply leaving the score at 117/5.

After a terrible morning with the ball Collingwood will be looking to redeem himself and batting with Chris Read who kept well behind teh stumps. England lead by 2 at the interval with 5 wickets in hand.

RB: Well what a day's play we've had here, marvellous recovery by England who looked to be really in a bit of trouble when they collapsed to 117/5. Paul Collingwood may have had a shocker with the ball but he produced a marvellous half century in partnership with Chirs Read to lead the visitors to 230/6. It didn;t stop there though and Ashley Giles and Chris Read really took it to the Trinidad bowlers who struggled with the older ball on this flat pitch. Read raced to a fantastic century before he was dismissed leg before wicket but by this stage England had really got back into the match.

RB: Not wanting to be outdone Ashley Giles stepped things up a gear crashing, smashing and at times carressing the ball to the boundary. Truly wonderful knock it was from Giles who at one point dismissed Bravo over long on for 6. He eventually ran out of partners just shy of 150 with England well and truly back in teh driving seat.

RB: So a tremendous reovery by Englands lower order after dire performances by the middle order. There'll not be TOO much hope of Hussain regaining his test place and I would wager a substantial amount of money on Paul Collingwood's batting performance earning him a test berth. He may want to spend some time working on his bowling though. Read and Giles were truly tremendous and this England recovery certainly will see them win this tour match.

Good batting by the middle order. Giles can be a good bat in reality. Believe he has opened for Warwickshire on occasion.

Nice to see Read make some runs. I think Jamie Foster is going to be playing in my tour game against this lot.
