:crying :cnoooooooooooo pakistan lost no way dude no way **** what the hell is wrong with fat ass inzy he won the toos and decided to bat first. no way guys i thought pakistan going to win bat i will give full credit to west indies to there bowling was out standing and the batting was good enough to chase a total like 133. bad luck h main and me too pakistan lost :crying

Great wins for the WI & England :clap . Once the 4 teams (Australia, England, WI and Pakistan) reached the semi-finals, most people would have thought it would be a Australia vs Pakistan contest in the finals.

On today's game, for sure the decision to bat first would not have been just Inzamam's. It was most probably the Pakistan think-tank's decision. So, there is no point in blaming just him. It is always very easy in retrospect to blame someone for the loss. But, I bet if Pakistan were able to put on something more than 200, they would have made life really difficult for WI.

In any case, a very sensible performace from WI. They did not get carried away and put in the ball in the right places and won themselves the match.

YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAA Bring on the english!!! Our last chance to get even with em. It will cap off a inconsistent season for the windies, but who would have thought west indies v england in the final? well take a bow.....here goes!!!

congrats WI, always enjoyable to wactch them doing well. today they couldn't stop smiling the whole day (after the toss) :D any news on Lara?
It'll be huge boost for them if WI take the trophy but England will go in as favorites on saturday. :boxing

the news on lara is that he'll be fine for the finals. he is under observation for the next few days. nothing serious though

im sure england would have been able to beat pakistan, windies on the other hand are so unpredictable, should be a great final! :)

(shame im staying the weekend in a hotel with the mrs, think im gonna make her come down the pub and watch it Muahahahaha)

the gas you are a freak. you are staying with mrs in the hotel wish you best luck dont make her upset..... best of luck with

Not so sure about that mate. England's one day team may have improved since the NatWest series when we were beaten 2-1 in the 3 games we played v the WI, and the odi series in the Caribbean earlier this year was drawn 2-2, so all that points to a close match. It's going to depend on what player/players rise to the occasion on Saturday.

I think toss will decide the 30% of the match. West Indies batting line-up is really good but they will need to do the same with the bowling which they did against Pakistan... and far as England concern they need a good opening partnership to threaten the West Indies bowling attack..
and I agree with Jonah "It's going to depend on what player/players rise to the occasion on Saturday." It will be a good match.. I just hope its a full house.

The weather doesn't look too promising though :( ...

England's best season!

It is hardly surprising to see England and West Indies in the ICC Champions Trophy final as they are the teams who have been playing in the English conditions the most in this season.

I feel England will win the ICC Champion's trophy (if weather permits). However, I feel it will not be a one-sided final. The only concern the English have is the trio of Lara, Sarwan and Chanderpaul. They are in decent form and have the capability to play match winning knocks. WI were helped by Inzi a bit when they were asked to bowl first in the Semi Final. Who knows if WI would have batted first, Shoaib and co. (who bowled with a lot of fire when the wicket had eased out a bit) would have destroyed WI. The run-outs of Hameed and Razzaq were very crucial and had significant impact on the match.

The key for England is to keep taking wickets at regular intervals and keep the partnerships down. WI simply lack the fire power in bowling department to cause any trouble for English batsmen.
