ICC study reveals that 99% chuck

sohummisra, i think you put that nicely dude. Bret Lee was called for chucking, but most Australians wouldn't even know about it. Most of it was dealt with-out any media coverage and the covered up pretty good. Just goes to show how much crap all asian crickerters have to go through. But things are slowley changing.
Brett Lee was accused of chucking, so was Shoaib Aktar. They have both done work with Dennis Lillee to refine their actions. A theory is that hyper-extension from such a fast action creates an illusion of the arm bending forward. I think most Australians who follow cricket would know of this, seeing as Brett Lee has had a lot of trouble getting things right, especially his run-up. Brett Lee has also spent a lot of his time not bowling for Australia.

Do a google search for Brett Lee and chucking. I'm sure you will find hundreds of hits.

I personally believe no one should care as long as the cricket is good. It just improves the level of competition. Cricket is not about individual statistics, winning or anything--if you're a spectator. It should be about watching a good contest between bat and ball and if that means that some people chuck--so be it. Too many regulations will always spoil the game.

I'm sure you would find hundreds of hits, but most Australians wouldn't know about it. Just because there are hundreds of hits on
the on the internet it doesn't mean all Australians are up to date with the incident. They only care about sledging the Asian cricketers even
after they have been cleared. Murali's case is an excellent example. This would have been the 3rd time he have been cleared
now, but will he ever be let alone to continue his carrier in piece. I think not. The problem is un-educated people shouting off their
mouths with out thinking what they are saying or not knowing all the facts.

What is screwed up is how Asian cricketers get picked on for know reason at all when other cricketers from other countries get protected
by the media and their cricket board. Shane Warne, you could also say he is a drug cheat, numerous times he's been caught
for having affairs, taking bribes. But guess what, he's still playing the game. Darren Leahman, for his racist comments he made
against Sri Lanka while in a tournament in Australia. He got away with 1 ban suspension.

I don't doubt, Shane Warne or Darren Lehman's talents at all. I reckon Shane Warne is one the greatest bowlers in the world,
but everything he has done he has gotten away with, or covered up. I just don't think why the Asian cricketers have to put up
with these type of crap, when specially they haven't even done anything close to what other cricketers out side of Asia been doing
for years.

Cricket is a racist game and I wrote an essay about this 5 years ago (when I was like 12). If it was apparent to a 12-year-old one wonders why nothing has been done about it.

Well gee, you're right, me and my mates had no idea all these things had happened. Thanks for informing us.

it is weird to see bowlers chuck and icc doing nothing' i mean i play cricket with my bunch of friends when ever i bend my arm' my friends yell' fardin you are chucking and i am suprised that icc is not doing anything about it' they are only picking on famouse bowlers like murli shioab and bret lee' what about the others' only 1% doesnt chuck and 99% does can you believe' any one can be a fast bowler considering my slef chucking' i can bowl fast really fast specially chucking' let me tell you if icc doesnt say anything to those bowlers who are chucking then you will see a new fast bowler in the future{me}

Hee hee..... don't you think the image of 'dripping with sarcasm' is beautiful. What is the textural composition of sarcasm?

cool it guyz,,,cricket is not rascist...its a wonderful game...some people may indulge in something improper and get a suitable result for it...

Murali has a birth deformity and so has Shoaib...Lee was cleared in 2000 and never been called since...but if Hadlee, Lilee and Imran were chuckers then the rules need some bending definitely...thats what they are doing I presume

abt match fixing Jadeja has won the right to be back in FC cricket and Azar's fighting for it...Prabhakar's absconding...to me Cronje was far better - he had the guts to say I was wrong and I deserve the punishment...these asses here are nowhere near gentlemen in this game...

Aussies, England, and New Zealand, and prehaps South Africa, have very few star players, so their Boards hand light punishments, so that they're team can win! Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka all have backup plans... For example, when Sachin was down, India had a backup plan, (even tho they lost to Aussies in 1st Test Match) but if Sachin was with Aussies, and he was banned from the match, then they dont really have somebody to replace Sachin....

Ok im sure this is confusing ^^

What the hell are you talking about?Australia have 5-6 players fighting for a place. When Ponting was injured,Clarke was there to replace him,and did an excellent job.And then they have excellent guys like M.Love,N.Hauritz,C.White and there are so many more. All of these guys are good too.In Fact,Imo,australia have the most depth in their squad. They just have so many people fighting for a place.

This decision by the joke that is the ICC to increase the limit to 15 degrees is absolutely pathetic. Everyone has ignored the fact that Murali was found to be 3 TIMES the legal bowling limit. Now if this was Shane Warne or Ashley Giles they would've been banned. Why wasn't Murali banned you ask? Its very simple. He's black. Thats why. The ICC don't want to be seen as being racists so they've decided to let him off. But instead of just letting him off they've extended the limit so that their precious Murali can bowl his beloved Doosra.

If someone was to be pulled over by police and a breath test showed he was 3 times the legal limit his liscence would be taked off him for 1-2 years. Yet Murali has done the EXCAT same thing and instead of a ban he gets the rules changed to suit his delivery.

Perhaps the best comment on this issue came from former Australian great Jeff Thompson. Thommo was on the Melbourne radio station SEN 1116 and when asked about the ICC's decision he replied "This is decision is an absolute bloody joke. He's been found to be breaking the rules and instead of doing something about it the ICC have changed the rules to allow him to bowl the bloody ball. The ICC are a bunch of jacket wearing clowns. The lot of them should be burnt."

Get over yourselves ICC, I can't remember the last useful thing you did. All you seem to do is make stupid bloody decisions that make absolutely no sense.

man ur memory is too short - this was the best thing that ICC did - 15 degrees for all the bowlers - previously it was different for different bowlers - ridiculous at that...now 15 degrees for everyone and if u know something abt cricket then u'll know that no bowler can bring that straightening deliberately...and its not a case of black and white - Sir Hadlee, Lilee, perhpas Thommo and Imran were found of straightening their arm more than the prescribed limits when the ICC has found that 99% chuck what do u say shall all these fabulous records be removed from the scorebook? ridiculous idea...

and btw Murali wasnt three times over...he had brought it down to 10 degrees and ICC gave 15 so who is it trying to accomodate in the other 5 degrees...racism doesnt feature here...common sense has prevailed and i dare say it has brought some balance back in the game that was going far far towards the batters

Here is another fine example of someone shouting off their mouth with out knowing all the facts.

Murali didn't get away with his Doosra. ICC stopped him from bowling pending further studies. The most important thing to come out of the studies is that 99% of the current bowlers go over the 10 degree limit.

Yes this means most current fast bowlers and spin bowlers chucks as well with the current rules. Glenn Mcgrath and Shaun Pollocks straighten their arms up 12 degrees according to the studies. Which means the next match they plays, they should be called for chucking. The current rules are flawed, that's why they need to change the rules, not to protect Murali, they need to do it to clear all bowlers.
