IIRC, The last indian player to make debut for senior team under the age of 20 was Irfan Pathan. So i doubt these selector will really care about U-19 performance. Although they may keep a close eye on them for next 2-3 years.

Usually the U-19 captain does make the transition with the exception of Ambati Rayudu. All the others have gone on to represent India at a later stage- Kaif, Parthiv, KKD, Piyush, Virat.

I watched the final and can say that Unmukt could be in the ODI side within the next 6 months. The guy has got class and hell lot of talent.

Where would you fit him in though? Our top order is very much stacked atm, you got Tendulkar(when available), Sehwag, Gambhir, Kohli and Rahane already fighting for places, one more to the mix would just about complete a batting side.
