Hadn't really been keeping up with the IPL news, but is that for real lol?

Oh, its real !!

I did a double take too when I read the full name. They could have called their team Pune XI and it would have been a better name

I think this year I will be rooting for RCB/Kohli/ABD

I usually go for KKR, because I like Gambhir and co. and their team was mocked a lot for a long time. But ever since that member Saroj something's agitated pro-Gambhir rant in the ICC WT20 thread, I just cant :spy

Question tho, what happens to the former CSK/RR players when the teams comeback into the IPL? No sort of player retention a part of the punishment? Which would be fair honestly even tho I loved the "fab 4" of Dhoni, Raina, Jadeja and Ashwin at CSK.

After two years, these two teams will be removed and players from these teams will be transfered to CSK/RR. Just like the retention which took place in December. 5-5 players will be retained and remaining players will be bought in auction.

Pretty sure I heard the new 2 teams are going nowhere and with the return of CSK and RR, there'd be 10 teams.

@Epic Nope. Even I saw somewhere that these two new teams will be scrapped and csk and RR will be back. I am on mobile. I will find the link of that news and post when I log in through laptop.

Looking at the squads and what not seems like Pune would be best the team to align myself with on my antagonistic crusade against Saroj/KKR/Gauti, but the name tho... I'm positive I'll laugh at least the first 100 times the commentators say the team's full name.
