I am just waiting for the Indian government to say not to tour Pakistan

Sri Lanka offers to tour Pakistan if India don't
As doubts continue to hover around India's tour to Pakistan next month, options have finally begun to emerge for a cricket-starved Pakistan. Though no official contact has yet been made between the boards, Sri Lanka has already expressed its readiness to replace India for the tour.

I think personally that the tour might get cancelled...The fact is Pakistan has not played test at home for a year now..Nobody is going Pakistan due to security reasons...Their players havent played test at home for a year now,thats a long break...Will SL go there?I think for time being India's tour will be postponed and they might go in 2010 or something like that,they will wait till the situation gets better...

India call off tour of Pakistan
The Indian board has called off next year's tour of Pakistan, following a directive from the government. The series was in doubt following a deterioration in relations between the two countries, a fallout of the Mumbai attacks which India alleges had links to elements in Pakistan.
"We have received a letter from Indian goverrnment stating that, in the prevailing circumstances, India's tour of Pakistan is not feasible", Ratnakar Shetty, the BCCI's chief administrative officer, said.

Good too see that the Indian Govt made right decision,PCB now in trouble...doldrums...I remember few days back Mr.Gill told that "One team (terrorist) come here and they destroy everyting,and we should not send our team there to play soprts.

See, Things can be raised like India not touring Pakistan and England touring India Despite and Regarding both Pakistan and India are prone to Terror Attacks. Because, 1). Take those people off saying the particular nation they're of is as safe as the other country which too experienced terror attacks. I'm being indirect.
2). Why can't india tour pakistan when england could in such a tense situation in india? There's an answer that's given to all of us, Few months back. Yes, i'm talking about the Champions Trophy 2008. England was one of those who weren't completely satisfied to tour pakistan to play the champions trophy and India was those which supported pakistan to go forward to play CT.
Now, If India's deciding NOT To tour pakistan, then imagine how big the step and it's value is. It's for the safety of the people, why take chances?
But still, what can the board of pakistan and the people do? It's not their fault and they TOO want Cricket in their home. Who wouldn't like to?..

Well this happened for the betterment now finally our Indian team would get some rest before New zealand's tour....Finally a wise decision by the BCCI

Currently Pakistan are talking to Sri Lanka for a tour in Pakistan.

If Sri Lanka do come, it will be for a series of three Tests, three ODIs and one Twenty20 international. They can only arrive after January 16 for they are on a tour of Bangladesh till then.

Based on what most of you are saying, the tour was called off because for political reasons and not security reasons!!!

PCB would be really hoping that SL comes down in Pak and they dont turn it down at last moment,the world would be watcing closely how the tour progresses,because Aus,NZ,India and few other had refused earlier to go in Pak,due to secuirty reasons
