Intel Chipset Probs (Petition)

Hi andrew
Can i know that which files are responsible for a game being compatible with some graphics device and not with the other .
Where are these files located
In some of the games i found out that for soldier of fortunes game there was a patch to make it compatiible with intel 810 chipset .
Can something of that sort be done for c2k4 by EA
Is it impossible

Dear Sir
I was very eagerly awaiting the release of your most anticipated title EA SPORTS Cricket 2004 .
I got my hands on the game which i shipped from Australia to India where I live
A very smooth installation , I must say
I very quickly ran the game .
The license screen was shown and I was back to my desktop
I checked our the game on my friends P.C but was of no use.
I quickly found out that our enemy was the INTEL 810 chipset which did not support the game even with the latest drivers .
DID HB Studios neglect the fact that INTEL CHIPSETS are the largest selling graphics controllers in the world
Many people have already wasted their money
Please help the cricket gaming fraternity by releasing a patch for this very soon or otherwise I see the future of cricketgaming being very dull.
Let the new year bring a new ray o hope for Intel Graphics chip users.
With sincere thanks in advance,
Thanking you
Yours Truly
A well wisher
My refined email to HB STUDIOS .
BTW I got my hand s on the game yesterday

kalavala -- i am waiting for ur reply - i asked one of my friend about pci cards he told only 8 or 16 MB pci cards available in Hyd :(

I have Nvidia geforce MX400 64MB PCI card with Mercury 810e motherboard but still I can't run the game, the screen goes blank and then it crashes back to desktop on running cricket2004.exe.

When i tried with intel 82810e onboard graphics controller, it atleast showed the loading screen before crashing.

I wanna know will Cric2004 run on Nvidia geforce MX 400.

You ll have to search real hard, coz the PCI graphic cards are very rare to find, atleast in India.I had a similar problem and i have now upgraded my PC to P4,2 Gigs, with S3 Pro Savage onboard graphics adapter.

My system specs r:

P-III 1.13 GHz
Mercury 810e motherboard
128MB RAM
Samsung 40GB hard disk

Dual boot with WIN XP and WIN 98

I wanted to know if C2k4 will work on my system:
Inte PIII 500 mhz
Windows 98 SE
320 MB RAM
I also wanted to know one more thing. I have been asking this question for quite some time, and no one has helped me out. Can someone please tell how I can find out whether I have a Video Graphics Card or a Graphics Chip. The only answers I have got from anyone are very sarcastic ones. So someone, please just help me out.

We have resorted to giving you sarcastic answers because you keep asking despite being told.

Follow these very simple steps:

1) Take the lid of your case (you may need to use a screwdriver for this)
2) See where your monitor lead attaches.

If your monitor attaches directly to your motherboard, it is an on-board graphics chip. If it attaches to a card that attaches to your motherboard, then you have a graphics card.

If you can't follow that, then you need help.

System requirements are in Cricket 2004 News And Info somewhere, use the search tool.

If you ask again, I'll delete it.
