To use AGP card u have following options:
Buy a processor :
AMD 2600+ : Rs 5200
P4? 2 GHz : Rs. 6000(not sure)
You don't need a processor like this to use an AGP card.

Why do u need a processor and an AMD or P4? Unless u wanna new mother board and the latest ones need atlest a P4 or above i understand but u can go in for an older mobo with an AGP slot and some of them also support new AGP cards. eg ATI Radeon 9600 XT 128MB or ATI 9800XT 256MB or even GEforce4 MMX 128MB.

So u dont have to buy a new processor, try buying an older mobo that supports a P3 and new graphics cards.

Also there is a new type of AGP card (model) PM me for details.

You don't need a processor like this to use an AGP card.
Motherboards with agp slots and supporting P3's and Celeron's are not available in the market, not atleast in Mumbai.

Well basically there are 3 types of motherboards

1)Both Motherboard and chipset made by intel
2)Motherboard by intel and chipset by some other company
3)Both Motherboard and chipset by a company other than INTEL

What I think is the game works only on 1st . The people who are facing problems maybe fall in the cateogary of 2nd.

If I am wrong please let me know

I only said that the game does not work on 2nd because people said they are having problems with intel chipsets . However there cannot be any problems with 1st , I think

Well the first still has an intel chipset.

The problems they are experiencing is because they do not have a proper graphics card, only an on-board graphics chip.

hi everybody... i am new to this forum... i have intel 82810E chipset ... i am attaching details about my display card.... is cricket 2004 work on this config or i have to buy pci or agp card ?

userm, U may want to rent the game and see if it works. Coz i have a Intel 82845 GE/GL with 32 Mb and the game works fine on my PC.

userm. Iyz not goin to work. Coz my brother had the same card until he got a new one. But it was 128 MB. And also that card isn't a proper 32.0 MB card. It is a 4 MB card that uve updated the driver. Isn't that right?

oh :( very sad..... anyway thanx for replying.. yes friend its 4 MB card after updating its 32 MB and now i can play games which require min 16MB video card.
as i am from India i cant rent the game ... i will try it on my friend's sys (i think he has 32 MB 3d card)
if the game is good i will change my sys

Just look. Take the side of your PC and see if your monitor is connected to a card connected to your motherboard.
