After lunch... what can South Africa do?
MN: Welcome back to the 1st 3 Mobile Test match between Austraila and South Africa. Its been a great morning so lets hope for a session to match it, this afternoon!
32nd over: The 1st over after lunch sees Dippenaar get his half century with two cracking off drives off Stuart Clark. Dippenaar on 52*, South Africa 104-3
33rd over: McGrath is greeted back into the attack with a masterful off drive for 4 from Jacques Rudolph. SA 109-3.
34th over: Well, I sense a big innings here from Dippenaar as he hits a big-un for 6 right back over Clark's head. Put that with a graceful cut shot for 4 and a well worked single, makes 11 off the over and SA are 120-3.
10 more overs pass and another wicket falls!! I think my senses are failing because Dippenaar, well set on 63, prods at one outside off stump and nicks it to Glichrist. SA were 120-4 at that stage, enter De Villiers and SA have progressed to 143-4 off 44 overs.
45th over: Lee back into the attack and concedes 4 runs with a short ball.
SA 147-4.
46th over: Well an expensive 9 off the over from Stuart Clark although the batting skills of Rudolph are quite something to watch! SA 156-4
47th over: A rare maiden from Lee, only his second in 13 overs! SA 156-4.
Another 5 overs pass with no wickets. SA have progressed to 175-4, with Rudolph in 40* and de Villiers on 25*. Michael Clarke has been used a part time spin bowler, bowling a total of 4 overs for 12 runs throughout the innings.
53rd over: A steady over from Warne, bought back into the attack by Ponting to replace Michael Clarke. SA 177-4.
54th over: Thinking about it, Stuart Clark has been as expensive as Brett Lee, conceding 4 more that over but also beating the outside edge twice aswell. SA 181-4
55th over: Rudolph moves on to 45* with a majestic straight drive off Warne. SA 185-4
Another bad 6 overs follow for South Africa, losing 2 more wickets. Firstly, Jacques Rudolph, attempting a ridiculous reverse sweep and clean bowled by Warne. Next over, Mark Boucher pushes at one outside off stump and follows Rudolph back to the pavilion for just 4 runs. SA 199-6!
61st over: Shane Warne concedes 2 runs to Shaun Pollock, who in my opinion, is the greatest of the South African all-rounders. SA 201-6
62nd over: Clark concedes 1 run and has the South Africans on the run! SA 202-6
63rd over: Yet another solid over from Warne, just 1 off it in the end.
SA 203-6
64th over: Great bowling from Clark in the last over before tea! He has Pollock all over the place but South Africa go in for the tea break at 204-6.
MN: Its tea here in Brisbane in the 1st Test. At the crease are De Villiers on 37 and Pollock on 4. Michael, can you feel the South Africans posting a big score with only the tail left?[/COLOR]
MA: Well, if it was against a worse side then maybe but not against the Aussies. Their bowling attack is too strong and i expect them to clean up the tail with no problems.
MN: Ok, thanks Michael, after the break we'll be getting back to the last session of play, and its sure to be a great one!
The first 10 overs of the session are all Australia's, with the dismissal of AB de Villiers, caught by Michael Clarke at mid-off off the bowling of Warne for 44, a big wicket. Pollock (17*) and Boje (6*) are at the crease. SA 232-7.
75th over: A maiden from the fiery Warne who is in pursuit of his umpteenth 5 wicket haul in international cricket. SA 232-7.
76th over: Brett Lee's best over of the day and its a maiden. SA 232-7
77th over: Great bowling from Shane Warne! Boje trapped in fron LBW! He goes for 6, SA 232-8!
The next 6 overs turn out to be the last, with SA bowled out for an unconvincing 256. Shane Warne finished with 5-56 with Nel the last man out for 3, (run out). S/cards below.

MN: Not the start that SA would of wanted with only 5 players reaching double figures on a batsman friendly pitch. Highlights included Boeta Dippenaar's 63 and 45 from Jacques Rudolph. Shaun Pollock was left stranded on 33*. Shane Warne was the pick of the Australian attack with 5-56. Now lets see who Australia deal with a tricky half hour period before the close of play.
