Now there is both praise and criticism for two exalted members of the opposition who have provided pain in November in Antigua and now on this tour. 'I've loved playing against Chris Gayle,' he says. 'He's funny and relaxed but he's a real competitor. He's a comedian with a heart of gold and this series has been played in a real good spirit.'

But there's a 'but'. 'Shiv Chanderpaul has been fantastic but one thing disappoints me about him,' says Pietersen. 'Every time he gets runs he never fields. There's always an injury or something. That has really got on my nerves here. It leads me to think he plays for himself.'
Kevin Pietersen thinks so. What do you think?

Chanderpaul selfish? No, I really don't think so. Cricket is quite a tiresome game. Not everybody can battle the immense heat of West Indies and score hundreds and fifties by staying at the crease for hours. It's natural that players will get worn out after scoring something big specially in countries like West Indies.

He is playing whilst injured and people call him selfish!

same thought I also had in my mind! But on first place, what was Pietersen's problem? Can't he correct himself first by rectifying his pull shots through which he horribly got out yesterday & then can come to talk about others. :p

Pietersen saying another player 'plays for himself'?

Pot. Kettle. Black.

Pietersen destroyed the best bowling attack of the past 15 years with ease whilst Chanderpaul was a sitting duck against McGrath & Warne.

Chanderpaul's average against Australia was beefed up from the last series where he faced a deteriating Brett Lee, out of form Mitchell Johnson & Stuart Clark, Stuart MacGil when his body was able to collaspe on him and a joke of a selection - Beau Casson. Chanderpaul averaged only 34 against Australia before McGrath & Warne retired.

Pietersen > Daylight > Chanderpaul
