Is Shivnarine Chanderpaul selfish?

Ben har roz Hayden ka puja karta hai.

Dan Har Roz KP ka puja karta hai.

The first one means Ben prays to Hayden everyday

The second one means Dan prays to KP everyday

You're all twats.

I don't need to hide my thoughts behind a language no-one else will understand. In plain English, you're all twats. ;)

You're all twats including me.

Kock a kooock kooo kooo kock kock kock
Well said Dan.

BTW, when are you marrying KP? One KP marrying another KP...Oooo Boy, do invite us. :p

Jokes on you guys now because it's past 12pm in my area of the world. The funniest thing is that in 33 minutes, the youngest member who targetted me in foreign language is going to turn into a rooster! He will then be immediately transported from his computer desk to the outskirts of Spain where several Spanish kids will be surrounding him whilst eating taquitos.

no lo creo. y ni?os espa?oles no comen gallos vivos, as? no hay problema :p

LOUD NOISES!

Chanderpaul is very one-paced and bats in a way that suits him rather than the team which explains a lot of his not outs so I can see where KP is coming from in that respect. But Shiv is a committed fielder when he's on the field. I don't know whether they were attempted mind games but KP should stop acting a twat.

Dont you think that Chanderpauls one paced batting has allot to do with him playing the rescue act the majority of his innings in the 2000s. With the team collapsing around him he has to slow down and put up some runs. To me him playing slog sweeps and charging down the wicket when the team is 150-7 would represent a player playing for himself instead of changing his game to help the team put on some runs.

I am sure that if Shiv was coming in with his team at 300-3/4 he wouldn't mind playing some aggressive shots and scoring at a quicker rate. But he knows that if he falls the WI are screwed.

That is a fair point. He does provide stability to the batting line-up which is emphasised by the fact that he's continously at the end of the innings. He does know when to up the pace and is clearly capable of doing it.

But I could see the point KP might be making.

I couldn't really give a flying toss if he was selfish or not, he scores runs and that's what he's paid to do (or not, as the case seems to be).

He has shown that he can be as destructive as any other player in the past. Remember his recent 149 against India when Windies were chasing? One hell of a knock.

o without a doubt Shiv could score faster than he does most of the time but the situation he finds him self in when he comes to the crease prevents him for doing so.

he has the 4th fastest test hundred.

this act should make him be viewed as a lazy lad rather than a selfish fish

actually it should be viewed as "god damn I just batted for 4+ hours, my everything hurts can I just take a few overs to get my self together"

In cricket terms, Chanderpaul has had two main problems: first, a low conversion rate of around one hundred to every ten fifties, and secondly, his physical frailty, widely thought to be hypochondria.

the man has done the best he can and he is one of the better fielders in the team also. for a dude his age he is doing wonders.

but if he cant produce what international cricket demands,he should look at the alternatives...

he has been producing for 15 years, Shivs production shouldn't be questioned, especially over the last 3-4 years in any form of the game.
He had a piece of floating bone removed from his foot in late 2000 and has been playing good cricket ever since. I really cant remember the last time he missed a test.
