Has anyone seen Out of the Park Baseball Manager in action? I'd guess the engine for that could be converted.

The demo of it is on the football manager 2007 cd. For those who have installed fm 2007, look in C:/Programfiles/sportsinteractive/ootp2006.

It should be like fm2007. 2d and small text, or just larger text.

I think a main part of it if it is to be a success is to judge situations which are very tense, like 10 needed off the last over. This can be like the earlier FMs with tense penalty shoot outs.

As i said, it should be like in fm. You can choose to watch the full match, extended highlights or just the key highlights, or just full commentry/text. That way you can just see the wickets, and big shots, but at the end, if the game is close it can show you more. Just like in fm it always plays out the final few minutes in full.

To further add to that, I wouldnt mind having text based results, I mean the tension would still be the same. Can you remember in early CM games in a tense penalty shoot out, the text read something like "Up steps Giggs" then the crowd noise hit in and a short 20 second gap before revealing the result, imagine that in a cricket game, something similar to the Edgbaston test

"Australia need 2 to win with 1 wicket remaining"

"In comes Harmison" [Crowd noises begin]

[20 second pause]

"Edged!"

[5 second pause]

"Taken!!" [Crowd erupts in background]

That would be just as good!

Cricket Manager was made out of the Bush League Baseball engine.

The website is experiencing problems, so I can't validate my e-mail.
