Just got back from the Halo 3 launch party.

The title says it all really!

Thanks to my wonderful job at Play.com. I just got back from the launch party at the BFI IMax in London. I now have in my possession all of the things in the photograph below. Most importantl, I've got a free copy of the game itself. Time to play! :onpc

Will post my early impressions of the game later on.

I've never really been into the Halo games. I just went along to see what all the fuss was about and to get as much free merchandise as possible.

So, I've played the game for a couple of hours and I have to say that I really can't figure out what all the fuss is about.:what

The gameplay is basically quite dull, the graphics are uninspired, and the sound is poor. Is this the biggest marketing gimmick in history? (That was a rhetorical question). I would genuinely love to know if anyone is a big fan and, if they are, why they are.

So, I've played it for a bit and have now lent it to a friend. I'm in no hurry to play it again. Oh well.

I am not a Halo fan but if you check Halo: Combat Evolved on PC its awesome. great gfx great sound n gameplay. Its the best Halo for me

I'd quite happily play it without being a huge fan. It has some good points - the vehicles are good, the Co-op mode is excellent, and it has a few nice touches - squeky voiced grunts anyone?

This game pwns, I havn't played any other Halo so I jumped straight into online and I'm absolutly loving it!
