The trouble with full substitutes was as is the current trouble with powerplays. Nobody appeared to have a clue what to do with it and they often just used it to give themselves a disadvantage.

Hmm. Tbh, the decision to DELAY playing with the pink ball, just to appease some old-timers, is a bit lame.

Now that Mr.Modi has decided to trial them, I'm sure people must be reviewing their take on the subject. Whether you want to admit it or not, the man is one of the MOST INTELLIGENT MAN in Sports... Ask Forbes :clap

Get your head out of your ass.

I don't mind it in ODi cricket, in fact I encourage it especially since most games go during the night. But not Test cricket. Just no.

Anyway, you think I'm just one of those IPL haters? Yes, but for a reason. Not because of the money. But because of how it affects the international schedule and team lineups. If anything, the IPL and T20 in general might even kill the legacy of 5 day cricket for good.

You can whine as much as you wanna, but T20 is here to stay dawg ! Embrace it or keep crying in every 2nd thread of this forum complaining about how BCCI, IPL and Lalit Modi are killing cricket. :p

You and your buddies and some boards need to get your heads out of the ass ! :clap

I never said to eradicate all of T20 cricket. Yet to just use it wisely. Don't go overboard with it. (ie. All the T20 events this year). Because though it may not have consequences with the Indian National team since its their domestic tournament but it does affect all the other nations.

As for IPL & T20s in general killing 5 day cricket for good, how come no one uttered a word when England marketed an ODI recently (some cite sources please) as "T20s, but only a bit longer"? If India would have done this, I'm sure that cricket "pundits" across the world would have panned us for (yes this is the zillionth time you are gonna read it) "killing the game".

Why do y'all always have to pick on India? Just because we make more money than your board does?

When England does away with the 50 over format for 40 overs a side with commercial overtones, its "okay". When South Africa does it (yes for money), its "fine". But when India does it, people say "That Lalit Modi is killing the game."

Hypocrisy, really :sarcasm

Lalit is doing something good here. But I know, its really hard for some people to admit that (no, this isn't for you skrillex_x). When are some people gonna stop being babies?

Sorry man, he's an idiot. Yes, the IPL is good. Yes, it's an innovative idea that is spurring the game of T20 cricket. Yes, I like the IPL.

Most intelligent man in sport? No way. He's milking the beautiful game for money, and not that I have a problem with that, but he really goes over the top. Then look at his criminal record... he's not someone to praise.

Talking about Mr.Modi's criminal record is a bit distasteful. Just like it is for the Brits, when you ask them on what grounds does Chris Broad discipline people, when he himself couldn't behave when he was playing the game. :p

Difference is, Chris Broad isn't raping cricket. Do you work for Modi's PR department or something. Never seen so much ass licking for such an unplesant person, as I have seen from you...
