Light Textures?

How do you use them? Are they even that used in sigs?

I downloaded Matt's resource pack and there are about 100 of them in there and I have never used them. Are there any tuts for them or are they useless?

You put them in and if they have a dark bg, like a balck one set it to lighten an place it in the corners of your sigs for effects...

Oh, I see. I had a fiddle around with them, all looked crap. Will try some more later.
