As my avatar & sig clearly shows, I'm a keen linux user. So I was wondering, have any of you ever tried linux? or ever thought of trying?

Trust me, many of the old myths of linux only being for the very technically minded, or being difficult to install, or doesn't have a GUI no longer apply.

PS. this is not a Linux is better then windows or 'windows sucks' thread. Just sharing my experiences

tbh, i like linux more than windows. but i dont use it frequently as i am having a

What kind of problem?

For anyone who wishes to use linux I recommend they join a linux forum. There are many helpful people who'll always give you a hand (and most of them are far more knowledgeable then me).

Ive tried Linux but have been unable to get my wireless network card working on it so altough I have it installed dont use it really as I cant get on the internet on it.

I think Linux works faster than windows on same hardware configuration. I am still a newbie to Linux, don't know why it interprets everything as a mounted file rather than attached interfaces. But maybe that's why its more secure and lesser prone to viruses.
