Also, i fail to see how the fact that he won't be scoring 50+ every game (although he is pretty damn close) means he needs to get on a treadmill? Will losing weight suddenly make him score more runs? He's fielding fairly well and taking wickets too.

Spare a thought for Ponting and Brett. Ponting while scored a 100 at crucial match when he was out of form and Brett even after getting hit by ball on eye. He still bowled like a champion with poring blood. A True Fighter!
