Yea the Southern Cross is one symbol that applies to both countries

The extra star's called the Commonwealth star. Dunno what it means. But the four stars in the bottom right of both flags is the southern cross.

Different view of it from different parts of the world

I'm really looking forward to this world cup, I'm fed up of seeing Australia dominating it, I want England to win but I have a feeling that south Africa will win.

if australia win this time then the icc would be better off without the 50 over world cup

btw why is the t20 world cup being held every 2 yrs/1yr:help

I think the ICC wants a showpiece event every year. Thats why they have the T20 World Cup every two years and in the year where there is no 50-over World Cup, they have the Champions trophy.

ICC raised the prize money!!

We only have a T20 WC this year because the 2008 Champions Trophy got postponed to 2009. 2010 was supposed to have a Champions Trophy being hosted in the Carribean which instead got changed to a T20 WC.

From now on the sequence will be:
2010 : T20 WC
2011 : ICC Cricket World Cup , India/Sl/BAN 2011
2012 : T20 WC
2013 : ICC Champions Trophy
2014: T20 WC
2015 : ICC Cricket World Cup, Aus/NZ

The Champions Trophy and the 50-over WC will be once every 4 years with the T20 world cup sandwiched between them.

^ Thanks for that, I was a bit confused about the sequence of the 3 tournaments like many others. :D

well, anyway i dont think the pakistanis would be too happy to be world champions for just 10 months while india were for 2 yrs
