Yup. I have lost count the number of times Ravi Bopara (and other medium pacers) got me LBW after the ball hit me in the stomach/thigh region for the replay to show the ball traversing a parabolic path which ends up hitting the stumps.

Sad thing is that has happened to me even with fast mediums, the pitch is like a marshmallow: I think 80% of deliveries from any bowler if you look at BARS will be on the way down before passing the stump.

Haven't played in about 2 weeks, and that last time I played less than 10 minutes. Unlikely to go back before patch 3or at least a significant PC update. Unfortunately there is just too much crap spoiling the excellent stuff and it's tipped over to not being enjoyable

I stopped playing the career mode couple of days back when a well timed shot was caught by a fielder coz you can't keep a shot down. Maybe an occasional casual match is what I will play till patch 3 comes out. It's frustrating in the extreme when your career player is in the midst of building an innings after getting a start for you to be dismissed coz a well timed shot is caught by Forward Square Leg, Leg Gully, Short Mid Wkt or Short Cover/Silly Mid Off. Nothing goes along the carpet no matter how well you time the shot and the close-in fielders somehow catch a well timed shot without any problems.

Silly Mid Off catching an off drive which was nailed and flew off the bat makes you wonder whether fielders have any sort of reaction time in the game. A loopy mistimed drive being caught by a close in fielder is one thing but surely a well timed shot should not be caught by a close fielder - or at the very least should happen extremely rarely.

Online is the only place I play , because of the little lag , the close fielders and Bowler act more "normal" allowing for the unintentional aeriel shots to skim past them . Plus by only playing guys that you know , you also eliminate the slow ball longhops , so then the game become`s quite enjoyable.

Until some bugger comes along with Albie Morkel and gets me with the Slow ball cutters .....

The beauty of it is how all the three systems work in tandem against you,

A shot that shouldn't go in the air,
a fielder who shouldn't be there in the first place,
the super power of the fielder to grab bullets at short range.


Once im settled that's got 30-40 odd, im mostly getting out only to this system which works against you relentlessly.of the 3 i hope at-least the 2, field settings and shots themselves get fixed, then i can live with their super powers which are manageable.
