Movie thread

Accidental overdose. Rumours of him being depressed etc, most likely all media sensationalism, but as you know, whatever the media say usually get believed rather than evidence.

Watched the Batman movie on Sunday. Must say I was very impressed with it and it is easily the best superhero movie ever made. Heath Ledger easily stole the movie. Its incredibly sad he won't be able to carry on this role into the next batman movie.

Watched Batman 2 days ago. Michigan Avenue is one crowded place.

WOW! What a movie!

I thought at the beginning, it was Robin dressed as Batman. It was extremely gripping, and the effects were awesome.

Screw Batman, I think Wanted was a pretty good movie for what it's supposed to be. I thoroughly enjoyed it, special effects were good and I especially like the way the main character interacts with you, a pretty legit part was right at the end when he breaks the 'fourth wall'.

Watched the following movies over the weekend (Netflix rules):

  • Donnie Darko
  • In Bruges
  • Being John Malkovich
  • Pan's Labyrinth

With the exception of Being John Malkovich, all the movies were very, very good, with Pan's Labyrinth being the best movie I've seen this year (bar Dark Knight). In Bruges is simply hilarious if you like dark comedy and don't mind some really graphic scenes. Donnie Darko, a supposed cult classic, is a real trip and leave a lot for the viewer's imagination.

Might be a bit late, but just got round to going to Batman tonight. Brilliant film, one of the best I've seen in ages. Heath Ledger was great (hadn't seen him in too much before), such a shame as to what happened after he made that.:( Long film, but it didn't matter as you felt you wanted it to keep going.

yea that move was brilliant. Ledger will surely get the Oscar.

One of my favorite movies is Kingdom of Heaven. all tho for the most part it isn't the most historically correct movie but it relates to the struggle in the Holy Land that exists today.

Yes, excellent movie that. Orlando Bloom shone in this film.

Yes he did, the performance was great.

Also another movie that I enjoyed watching and have seen a few times is Motorcycle Diaries. Its about Che Guevara's travels during his younger days after he finished school. Its a great movie.
