Hey guys. Just writ an article on Newcastle United FC that took around 20 minutes(Bearing in mind I'm only 13
) and after spell checking and a little bit of editing I thought I may as well post it and wait for it to be attacked. Personally I didn't like it but the people I have shown it to so far said it is good so would like a mass opinion. It's only a small article.

The Sleeping Giants
The 6th biggest city in the Premiership(according to the most recent census) with a population of 259,000 people and with such an active lifestyle, how could this City be a sleeping giant? Well the last Domestic competition they won was in 1992; even that was only the Second Division. They started to go back down to the midst of mid-table but now they have pinned their hopes on a new manager, Kevin Keegan. He has been appointed once again, but can he bring some glory to St.James's Park? Yes I'm talking about Newcastle United FC.
Since being founded in 1892 after the merging of the east and west end of Newcastle, they have struggled to keep a strong foothold on the pure football ability in England. After such a strong start and dominating the English League in the Early 20th Century they have fallen away and only really found glory in the F.A Cup which they have won a total of 6 times. With the 3rd largest Club Stadium in England and with the legendary fortitude of the Toon Army, the predicament is how have they not been more successful?
Alan Shearer, Peter Beardsley, Paul Gascoigne, Kevin Keegan and Les Ferdinand, not to mention a whole list of others, haveall gave their services to the club.So it is a whole lot more remarkable that the club hasn't won a Domestic cup in 16 years. The team now though has players such as Michael Owen, Obafemi Martins and James Milner but few others to compete for such a high position in the most decorated league in the world. Such a prestigious club could been on the way up...
Since fan favourite Kevin Keegan has been appointed results have been hard to find and was on the brink of the sack until he started churning in the results. Things could be on the up now with high profiled players such as Jose Antonio Reyes, Peter Crouch, Lassana Diarra, Thierry Henry and more considering bringing their much valued experience of playing for bigger and better clubs to Newcastle. Since the days of Alan Shearer the Newcastle side has gone downhill.
Their youth academy, the source of many clubs fame and fortune, after being on the decline has started recruiting some real talent again. Kazenga Lualua, Jeff Henderson, Shane Ferguson and Liam Davidson all play great attacking football for youngsters and look like players who can play well for Newcastle in the future; they fit almost perfectly into Keegan's tactics. Even in the first team they have lots of young talent. The likes of Charles N'Zogbia, Steven Taylor and James Milner all proving their worth in recent years. Newbies such as Jose Enrique and Andy Carroll both have the goods to deliver for Newcastle. Andy Carroll though could be Newcastle's answer to a homegrown striker, one which they have craved for so long. At such a tender age of 19 and already having represented England Under 19's 8 times(scoring 4 goals) it seems like Newcastle might of finally found a player worth keeping.
However with their Youth Academy starting to show some more activity, the Transfer Rumours starting to liven up and not forgetting their fan favourite at the helm leading the club from the front, maybe Newcastle could finally break the mould and start to get more towards the top and start competing for the Champions League spot and in turn, the trophy everyone wants to lay their hands on, the Premiership.
