Murder's increased as well, mainly because I passed a law which made it mandatory for prisoners to work as pizza-boys for a private company as a part of their penitence, and they're committing even more crimes now, as pizza delivery boys. No it's absolutely not an invasion. The way I understand it is, when the current founder empties it, it will cease to be. If one of us then puts in 'A Peaceful World' as the region we wish to move to, it will be re-created, with one of us as its new founder.

Has it ceased to exist now? I tried it finding it just now, but it seems to have ceased to exsist.

On current topic - most of my deaths are from old age. Thanks to my secret police, crime is unknown. So is personal freedom tbh, but meh

By George you know you're right! It HAS gone! I believe if you (or anyone) typed in 'A Peaceful World' now as where they wanted to move to, it would be refounded with you as the founder.

I've managed to finally get all three indicators near eachother, and halved tax in the past few days:


My murder rate is a little bit high, with 27% of deaths murder and 26% heart disease behind 43% old age. I haven't got a simple banning guns issue yet - the best I've done is a gun registry, but knowing how Nationstates works that might result in an increased murder rate.

It's been tough getting political freedoms up, but the "anti-government political posters adorn every building like wallpaper" made it shoot up 20 points.

I'm now at 244 million people, so I think I get a capital city soon.

The problem I had with repeated scenarios hasn't seemed to be a problem so far this time around, so they seem to have worked on that since last time.

I'm struggling with my 'preventable death' rate too - currently 38% (heart disease 24, murder 14, thankfully no cancer), but has been as high as 49 that I can remember. Some people have Old Age %ages in the 80s and 90s - how the hell!?

I had trouble with Political Freedoms too, and solved it the same way if I remember correctly.

It does sometimes take you in directions you don't want to go, doesn't it? Frankly, sometimes it drags to places you flat-out didn't go as well!

On the issue up for discussion in the World Assembly I've voted against it purely on the basis that it isn't as far reaching as I'd like, specifically "International news media organisations can only operate from within a nation's borders (ie. utilising available media technologies to report news) when given explicit permission to do so" which to me is rather restrictive and somewhat against the idea of a free press. The media should be given a free rein in any WA country not only when they're given explicit permission to.

Good point! Another good reason not to vote for it.

There are some sneaky people around who love to pass 'blocker' resolutions. If a mild resolution on an issue passes, it usually prevents a more powerful one being passed in the future. This is often done deliberately.

1% murder rate?! Lucky you! Do you have heart disease or cancer? If not, you've got a preventable death rate (including overwork) of 28%, which is enviable. But there are 8% not accounted for...

I reckon if you can maintain old-age at over 50%, you're doing all right. Heart disease goes down from time to time, and it's not always connected with a health initiative, so I've almost given up letting it worry me.

It's really the preventable death rate as a whole I look at. The factors I know that are included are: heart disease, murder, cancer and 'work-related'. I like that total to be as low as possible. The lowest I've recorded mine as ever going was 36% though. Lower than that would be good.

My Law & Order is 21%. I dare say if that figure of yours doesn't go up, your murder rate will.

They certainly are, but they are fully against the building of stadiums. All cricket in Hamburgerlia is required to be played on a field with no seating, with most cricket grounds built where there can be hills around the ground. That makes for a bit of trouble when it rains and the ground fills up with water, but water cricket just overtook water polo as our number one water sport.

I'm changing classification nearly every day at the moment, I'm 1% away from the line for civil rights - so some days the question will see a 1 point rise and I'll be a left-leaning college state, the next day it will drop a point and make me an inoffensive centrist. I probably have to do something radical to civil rights to push it well above the line.

I took out the lowest taxes in the region thing with 36% taxes and am now at 15%, which has reverted to being a flat tax despite me being against flat taxes. It also took about 20% off the size of the public sector.

It has had the impact of slashing a lot of welfare, but the question was worded so all the other options would have been massive increases. I'm happy with left leaning, not socialist!
