New C2005 Gameplay Video

somebody paid to implement that technology initially and it sure wasnt you. you should be happy ea decided to bless cricket with it, cause otherwise no one else really cares to.
look at BLIC it looks like robots are playing that game.
thats something for you to think about

"bless cricket"? "we should be happy" hey! its not like EA is some commitee who is doing us a favour! clothes get old and unwearable give it to someone who needs it thats EA's attitude isn't it? EA should be working hard to produce a game that everyone enjoys, not make a piece of crap and increase profits from it, there are generally 2 types of products one is product oriented and one is market oriented...EA's cricket games seem to be in neither category... sorry but have to admit, all of the EA's cricket that ive played, each carrying more bugs then features.

brian lara is much better, and as for them being robots thats ridiculous they look more realistic...they look like real human beings, not fishes playing cricket underwater on a slow motion camera.

has anyone noticed ahow a ball just outside the off stump is given as a wide..........ea sucks.

Really!! Whats so special in EAC2005 besides the fifa engine and better player models??
I just think BLIC looks more like a 32bit Playstation video game. I know its not real and a video game after all, but it should look real.

And how on earth can you talk about the gameplay without playing it yourself?

And someone said something about Gilchrist playing a wrong shot. Australia in this video is being controlled by a human player, so its his fault to play that kind of shot to that kind of a delivery. The player animation and movements have definately improved in Cricket 2005, and those shots on the offside really look very good.

Now I aint no employee of EA, but I just think you guys are being a bit too harsh on Cricket 2005 because of the horrid experiences you've had with Cricket 2004 and Cricket 2002.

oh dear, hate to say it, but so far cirkcet 2005 looks pretty shocking so far, let's hope it's a game in process ;) the whole thing looks like it's slow motion and the bowlers actions are dodgey

And why didn't majority of the runs come off the bat? Is it really impossible to bat in this game or what??

It was just bad shot selection by the player, thats all. He was trying to square drive a delivery when he should be hitting it straight, thats why he wasn't hitting it.

Yeah, just to clarify again that these aren't official videos. They are made by a guy who has review copies of both the games but isn't a cricket gamer (and therefore doesn't know much about shot selection).
As for the two videos debate, the EA vid confirmed for me that C2k5 is a rehash of 2k4. It is hard to get a proper idea based on a video of someone else playing so wait a couple of weeks after release when we know about all the bugs and then don't buy it... :)

In the EA video the only positives I can see is slightly better graphics than the previous version and that u can get 4 leg-byes(remember in cricket '04 even a ball bowled at 150 kmph would just drop dead in front of the pads after striking it)

I just hope that we atleast have proper runrates and economy rates displayed. I just hate it when a team which has scored 11 runs in 1.5 overs has a runrate of 11 !!

They've improved on it by making them act like the middle of the bat

Game makers are saying true that they just worked on the gameplay(Bowlng, fielding),graphics(new and Improve player model),AI not sure yet but all in all they have improved cric2004.But mind u with the coming years cricket, we will experience a better game AI and gameplay from EA, but for now they managed to give a support to bowler with swing in the air, in the video the conditions were very dry there might be more swing n seam on other conditions which suits bowling. And I feel that in a game IRFAN PATHAN will swing more than AGARKAR AND ZAHEER. and vise versa.

But tell me somebody was telling a back foot short was going for six in a video???which one.

does that make any sense?

its too difficult to tell whether the ball is moving anyway. although it did seem to duck back in on the very first ball, but that doesnt matter cause this game is gonna be ****.
i for one will be boycotting EA Cricket 2005, whos with me?
and for all those seemingly simple minded people who say ohh im getting cricket 2005 because it has better graphics (they look like small soldiers, remember that movie) and they have correct names and kits should use this little thing called common sense and boycott it too.

I don't plan to buy C2K5 until I read good reviews about it, but BLIC will be in my mailbox soon after it comes out.

LEDME go for a check up of eye sight, couze ball 1 from zaheer is moving-in to the left hander batsman.

I Absolutlely agree with you!

Can anyone tell me why is the cricket 2005 video so slow. I am really dissapointed of what I have seen in the video. Is this video a very early part of the game ? Player model is also not that good, the players are fat and slow and the batsmen is playing cover drive for a leg stump yorker, this not looking good at all. On the other hand BLIC is going to be fun to play.

When will EA release their official video and is there any chance of Demo.

Did you read anything of m_vaughan's post? I'm not the biggest EA Sports fan but I still realise it's a mistake by the person playing. As has been said many times (by Colin mostly!), the person who did the video for us isn't even a cricket fan...
