Luque is having a wonderful game by the looks of it. He is a very talented player, and if he can manage to stay injury fit, then Newcastle will definately do well.

Wow cheers guys for your comments, I never even knew it had been moved I will update lots tomorrow if I have time. Cheers again lads

Just after the break at St James' Park, Albert Luque, was substituted after a wonderful display. He was replaced by Shola Ameobi. Many groans were mixed in with the standing ovation that Luque received. Shola Ameobi isn't exactly known for his finishing as of yet which is something he will have to do if he wants to get into this strong Newcastle side. However, he started very brightly having many attempts on goal.

Finally, Ameobi's persistance paid off as he was rewarded with his first goal of the season thanks to a wonderfully crafted move. Emre played a delightful through-ball down the wing to Dyer who lifted it high into the air for Ameobi to bury with his head into the top corner. It reminded everyone of Alan Shearer, with one of his trademark bullet headers. Newcastle running away with this now. If Charlton keep going this way it could be three or four more.

And that was how it finished giving Newcastle United their second win of the season and lifting them further up the table shown below.

Gary Lineker: Hello and welcome to Match Of The Day with me, Gary Lineker and our panelists, Alan Hansen and Mark Lawrenson.

Alan & Mark: Hello.

GL: It's been a great day's play of football in the Premiership, we just didn't know where to start. We chose Newcastle United vs Charlton to analyse first. Alan, Luque had a great game didn't he?

AH: Yes, he really proved that he is hungry for goals and wants to do well at Newcastle. I think he has proved a few critics wrong today with his display.

GL: Also Shola Ameobi proved he can score when he puts his mind to it, Mark?

ML: I agree, he wasn't in the best of form last season, so I'm sure he will be very pleased with his goal.

GL: Three goals to choose from today, but we have chosen Luque's second for the goal of the match.

AH: As you can see he had defenders closing him down quite quickly there, but he has quick enough feet to evade their challenges and curl it into the net.

ML: I think a certain Newcastle old boy would be proud of that finish.

GL: Yes I'm sure he would! Well that's all the time we can spend on this game. Let's move onto the next...

Woa! The second goal was splendid. Good Review also.

Btw, what happened to Chelsea?? Cant see them in the table.

Abramovich got bored and pulled out, so Chelski went bankrupt and ceased to exist anymore.

Great story so far mate; the goal highlights make it even better.

Thanks guys, plus I've added Solano's goal in page one of this thread. Feel free to look

Nice to see Newcastle United go 2nd on table.

It was hard work as usual for the Newcastle United boys in training ahead of their next game of the season, away at Blackburn. Blackburn Rovers proved mixed opponents last season for Newcastle.

On the plus side of things Owen scored his first goal in a Newcastle shirt at Ewood Park in a convincing 3-0 win. However, on the negative side, Blackburn stole a victory at St James' Park thanks to a goal, scored with the hand, by Morten-Gamst Pedersen. The game is expected to be one of those games you know will produce great things.

The game has got underway here at Ewood Park, and Newcastle United have not really got started as of yet. The game hadn't really started until Blackburn Rovers managed to sneak a lucky goal. Chris Kamara was reporting for Sky Sports at the time of the goal.

Blackburn Rovers have taken the lead here at Ewood Park. The ball went out to the left wing and Bellamy cut his way back inside the box and unleashed a poor shot that would no doubt have gone wide, but the ball took a wicked deflection off Gary Harkins but yet he celebrated like he'd just scored the winner in the World Cup final. It's Blackburn One, Newcastle Nil

With Newcastle being behind for the first time of the season, it's anyones guess how they will respond to this sudden shock.

About 20 minutes after the break, the away fans were on their feet. Owen was let through by Luque and slotted the ball into the net. Owen was over the moon having scored his first goal of the season. Luque spotted it first and pointed it out to Owen that the linesman had his flag up, he was offside! Owen was destraught, he clearly thought he was onside. However, replays showed that he was in fact offside and it was a good decision from the linesman.

With all but fifteen minutes left, time is running out for Newcastle and with the winds out of their sails after being so close but yet so far, Newcastle United could be in for their first loss of their season.

so close then but so far.if Newcastle can pull out a win then they will have got off to a great start this season.
good stuff Culli mate :)
