A dead rubber, although the winner of this game will top the group. The team is unchanged once again with no reason to change it.

New Zealand won the toss and elected to bat.
New Zealand batsmen would have been pretty happy when they saw the pitch they would eventually bat first on. Jesse Ryder and Brendon McCullum got the Black Caps off to an ideal start, Kumar Sangakarra sensed a wicket was needed so Murali was introduced in the fourth over with immediate effect picking both openers, and Vaas picking up Guptill at the other end. 200 was the target and with the score at 63/3 off 6.3 overs, it was definitely insight if a partnership was built. Neil Broom and Ross Taylor pushed it around for a while until Broom hit Murali for 2 sixes but fell on his attempt for a third. Daniel Vettori then came to the crease and the fireworks really started, Taylor went absolutely nuts, smashing the Sri Lankans to all parts. The pair put on 72 off 5 overs, until Ross Taylor fell to Jayasuria after hitting him for 26 off 5 balls. Vettori then took charge smashing his way to half century while Oram at the other end provided good support with a six himself.
With a massive total to chase Sri Lanka needed their top 3 to fire, which they didn't. Shane Bond once again provided early wickets taking two wickets in the first over including the Sri Lankan Vice-Captain for a golden duck. Bond then picked up Dilshan in his next over and the game appeared over. Mahela Jayawardene and Thilan Smaraweera then put Sri Lanka back in the game with a quick partnership, but it had to last and it didn't. Kyle Mills came on and took out the middle order with 4 quick wickets while Vettori was his normal economic self. Southee ended the drought with 2 wickets himself, a game which Sri Lanka would want to forget.

Semi Final Preview World Twenty20
So the pool matches have finished and it is time for the four best teams to contest the championship.
Matches
Sri Lanka vs. South Africa
Both teams have big time players, with the batting fairly even it will come down to the bowling. Sri Lanka's strength is their spin bowling while South Africa have one of the better pace attacks going around.
New Zealand vs. India
Even though New Zealand are undefeated, India will come in favourites. On paper India will always have a stronger team than New Zealand but the Black Caps always play above their level, and will put a fight regardless. India's batting is their strength, while New Zealand's all round depth will be the key.
Great game, and great win there.
All our big names stood up, Taylor, Vettori, Bond, Mills...
Nice work on attacking their 5th bowler, you took them for 66 in four over's.
