I would add a poll, but I'd rather see more detailed answers...

How are people finding the forums since these changes? Do you think the quality of posting has improved, or just the quantity of posts dropped off?

I think that the quality of posts have improved, especially in match threads. There isn't as much needless commentary as there was in the Mohali test which was absolutely terrible. There haven't been much in depth conversation or discussion though, but I think that'll come.

The Issues forum is much better I feel. Some serious discussion in there nowadays.

One thing I don't really like are some of the smiley changes though. The facepalm, sarcastic and spy ones were quite useful at times. And I've just realised some of them have been replaced recently - different colours and one of them looks like a bug's eye.

vCash is much better now though. People are using the casino which is a good sign.

No, replying to the last page. Why should Thanks be submerged with reps? It can just be a dumb null thanks button. Just for the benefit. Like Post count? It was of pretty good use in the graphics and the forums below than to hear people saying strange stuff which are a little time taking to understand........you know..

Thanks was always related to reps. It's just more obvious now that everyone has a low amount of reps. And what do you mean when you're talking about post count?

I was just over at the CricketWeb thread for the NZ tour of India, and all there is on the last page is spam about Ryder taking a wicket. Much better here in our thread, though there aren't as many people following the match here.

Post count is disabled in few forums. That's what I meant for the thanks to be from reps. Agree with reps reset though, so it's all over again and not a bother for keeping thanks in reps.

Just my opinion anyway.

While I'm still not entirely clear on what you're saying, the point of Thanks being distinct from rep is that you can see publicly how many people get thanks, which is not the case with rep. Previously, you used to see posts saying 'reps for you', the thanks button does both the rep and the post telling people you've repped.

I've poked around with the smilies yet again, I'm trying to get them as consistent in style as possible, so some were replaced from the previous ones.

Some of the forum discussion, due to the rule changes, now is actually evoking my interest (especially the Issue forum and Random thoughts), though I can't find the activity increasing even now.
The enforcement of rules has worked well, I'd say that the forum has become overall more peaceful, not in the terms of activity, but in terms of discussion. (though I haven't really checked the Cricket07 forum for ages, I can't really comment on that)
