Thanks for the review. Like you, I got sucked into the hype of this game given all of the details they were giving out. Sadly, given the past 2 versions of BLIC, I really should've known better ...


When will the developers of these games realise what we want from a cricket game? Haven't we been clear enough on these forums? Haven't many of us offered to come in as consultants/testers to help them make the game the best they can?! Cricket fans are extremely loyal ... if we are delivered a good game, we will buy it in our droves *and* tell everyone else about it. This could be a real money spinner, but they HAVE to do it properly. PLEASE!

How true.
I believe that most of the big games publishers and to a certain extent developers make politicians look honest.
Codemasters have an unenviable record in the field of hype over gameplay (Colin McRae series for example) but since we keep on buying and will no doubt continue to do so why should they change their ways.
It would be nice if they would issue a patch but I'm not holding my breath waiting, although I really hope they prove me and my cynicism wrong.

Sounds like a fair review and a fair score as well. 75% isn't bad, not too bad at all. I don't think I'll cancel my order and as I said, I'm still enjoying the demo.

I'm wondering whether we should start a separate thread for issues in each version, because PC people seem to be experiencing plenty of run outs, while Wealey88 (PS3) doesn't seem to have that big a problem with them (and I've tried the method of not choosing an end and they still get out too often).

The more I read, the more I think the PC version has more bugs than the others and if that's accurate, it's simply not acceptable.

The stadiums look excellent. Apart from some poor player faces and a slightly dodgy cricket ball (it looks like an orange training ball), I think they are good. It feels nice to play, graphically.

They have huge heads on small bodies.

AI agression is without doubt the biggest problem and kind of ruins the game for me

It is almost impossible to bowl economically for more than 1 session of a test and I have yet to bowl anyone out or get an LBW.

Nailed some mean catches though
